Hi!

Although the cruisers (or their TA) who have booked the 4 cruises mentioned here have been advised of changes in the itineraries, the official Princess web site describing those 4 cruises still show the old itineraries!!!

That after 5 or 6 days from the time that the notifications were made.

That is true of the Canadian version of the web site, anyway…

Those 4 cruises involve the Diamond Princess:

***Voyage M701 – Dec. 27, 2016 - «Malaysian Peninsula & Indonesia»

Original duration: 10 days from Dec 27 to Jan, 6. New itinerary: 2 destinations added, from Dec.27 to Jan. 8, 12 days.

***Voyage M701A – Dec. 27, 2016 - «Southeast Asia Grand Adventure»

Original duration: 21 days from Dec. 27 to Jan. 17. New itinerary: 2 destinations added, 1 removed. Same dates and same duration.

***Voyage M702 – Jan. 6 (now 8), 2017 - «Southeast Asia»

Original duration: 11 days from Jan. 6 to Jan. 17. New itinerary: 1 destination removed. From Jan. 8 to Jan. 17, 9 days.

***Voyage M702A – Jan. 6 (now 8), 2017 - «Southeast Asia Grand Adventure»

Original duration: 21 days from Jan. 6 to Jan. 27. New itinerary: 1 destination removed. From Jan. 8 to Jan. 17, 19 days.

So beware if you are looking at one of those cruises…

Happens all the time. I don't think I have ever seen a change to a cruise where its fixed on the website. What does your booking in the personalizer say? I trust that more then I would trust the basic website.

How can somebody who is not on one of those cruises look at his or her «personalizer» I think that that person would be entitled to look at the web site and be sure about the information given before making a choice.

As to «Happens all the time.» then it's wrong all the time!

The prices have been updated (ie increased) on our now 12 night (from 10 night) cruise on Dec 27 but not showing the correct itinerary. The personaliser is correct. It is pretty much already sold out 11 months in advance. Price of a mini suite is just a bit less than the price we paid for a (price protected) vista suite. The remaining suites are over $2000 AUD more now. We booked just 6 days before the change - nice timing.

Is anything anywhere perfect? Yes, there are glitches in the system, not only with Princess but with most major cruise lines. If you're seeking perfection, you won't find it. However, there are ways to get around imperfect websites, such as asking a travel agent...

Agree. Compared with Celebrity and RCL, Princess is fantastic. With those 2 websites, as soon as you make any change or even just click on something you had already done, you are locked out of the personaliser for 20 minutes. Its crazy. And very frustrating.

After 4 or 5 days, the Princess website was not showing the changes made for the cruises mentioned in my previous post and other related cruises as well.

As a faithful Princess cruiser and going on my fourth cruise on the Diamond, I think that shortcomings should not go without mention if things can be improved for all.

I wrote an email to the Princess Customer Relation Department pointing out that fact and this is the answer I got:

«Dear Mr (Montrealais),

The Customer Relations Department is in receipt of your email. Thank you for contacting our office. We appreciate the opportunity to respond.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Please be informed your comments will be passed on to the responsible Department Heads so the itineraries can be updated on the website.

Mr (Montrealais), again, thank you for taking the time to contact our office. We hope you will continue to consider Princess when planning your next cruise. Until then, you have our kind regards.

Sincerely,

Princess Cruises

Customer Relations Specialist»

Lo and behold! This morning, all the proper information and the changes had been included in the different descriptions of the related cruises on the Princess website.

Good work by the Customer Relation Department!

Good work also by the people in the department in charge of the «Cruise Personalizer» who had made the changes in our account as soon as they were known!
