Anything Worth Doing Within Walking Distance at the Port a Kahului

Day One in Maui (July) we are going to rent a car and check out the beaches of West Maui. Day Two is still in the planning stages.

To help us with the Day Two decision, do you know if there are any things of interest to do that are within walking distance of the port. If there are, we may just opt for a short excursion and then check those things out when we get back to the port area.
