Gayle V Posted August 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2009 If you are NOT flying, and don't have to follow airline luggage restrictions, are there any restrictions from the cruise line itself, on number and sizes of luggage?
gazingm42 Posted August 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2009 Never had a issue when we DON'T fly... DW packs everything East of the Mississippi river. So we tip them good and never had a issue.
DaisyGirl55 Posted August 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2009 Per the Carnival website: Guests are encouraged to limit their checked luggage to two suitcases per person, with each suitcase not to weigh more than 50 pounds and not exceed 16"h x 24"w x 30"length. Most of the time we have usually bring 2 suitcases and a garment bag between the both of us. I also usually roll on a small suitcase which has my meds, jewelry, paperwork and such. I use this to have some things accessible before my luggage is delivered, to carry the things I do not want to put in the suitcase, and to use for the final night when we put our suitcases outside the cabin for pick-up. Sdallnct Posted August 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2009 One issue is what to do with it once you get there. I like to use largish duffel bags (30") or so. These then go flat so they are easier to store.
kicia Posted August 5, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 5, 2009 Carnival lists suggestions but it is OK if you bring more. On our Europe cruise last year one lady brought on 15 pieces of luggage. There is a lot of room under the bed for storage.
