Im sure this has been discussed before but Ive been away from CC for awhile...

Im a big lover of Yacht Club and very well accustomed to how it works and its layout, especially after my last 16 day cruise in Yacht club which is the longest Ive ever spent in Yacht club..I didn't want to leave:D:D

Anyway Ive just booked the new Meraviglia..sailing out of our home port (Genova). Id like to know if anyone has any information about the details of the yacht club for this new ship. Any major changes made? From what I can see is that the area in general will be larger to accommodate for more guest ..unfortunately I prefer it being a small amount of guest..but hey..we cant have it all:D:D

I also of course noticed to various rooms that were available..which didn't excite me at all so I booked my usual balcony suite. However generally I am specific with my room numbers being that I prefer the wider rooms ..and usually choose the 1530 ecc room. But not sure if this new ship will offer those type of rooms as well for the same price or not..any idea. Since I am not well informed on the layout I just tried to book as usual.

Also I wondered if they managed to put the YC restaurant closer to yacht club or will it still be a windy trek across the deck? :p

Any idea of other changes positive or negative...I'm very curious.

The All inclusive Drinks package will be available to use throughout the ship :-which is a big positive.

dining room in the YC:- a positive

with 26 (95 Instead of 69) more cabins meaning an extra 50 - 60 guests, approx 40% increase but it doesn't look as though they have increased the square footage of the public areas , other than adding the restaurant, so it'll feel more crowded:- a minus point.

Cirque de Solieu doesn't start till August:- a minus point, if you go on her before then

Still I've booked in the YC for next Sept.

Oh this is definantly great news about the drinks..no more need to return from the casino upstairs for a drink every so often...thankfully it was always on the same side of the ship as YC. Very good about the resturant and well Ive booked for October so will be a plus to see the Cirque. I really hope its not so crowed. I do love the tranquil feeling...and also worried about if the quality will be deminished because of this.

I also read about electric wristbands..so no need for the onboard card???

Does this include the YC inside cabins? How many people do they hold (hopefully just 2).

yes it includes the YCIN of which there are 15, all 2 berth only 30 guests max

YC1 which there are 76 (8 x 4 berth and 68 x 2 berth) max 148 guests

YCW ( wellness ) 2 of those both 2 berth, max 4 guests

aYC3:-2 royal suites YC3 both up to 4 guests, max 8 guests

so the total number of guests at double occupancy is 190 and if all berths are taken it is 214

compared to Divina

YC 1:- 64 suites (38 x 2 berth; 8 x 3 berth; 18 x 4 berth) 128 guests at double occupancy; 172 at full occupancy

YC 2:- 3 suites x 3 berth 6 at double occupancy ; 9 at full

YC3:- 2 suites x 4 berths 4 at doubled ; 8 at full

So at double occupancy there are 138 guess and at full capacity there are 189 guests

The difference at double occupancy will be noticeable as there will be 52 more guests; but at full occupancy the difference is only 19 guests.
