Transfer from JFK to Brooklyn Cruise Terminal

Hi,

We are flying to New York on July 24th on Virgin landing at 11:55 am (booked through Cunard) and are concerned about the efficiency and speed of the included transfer as we want to get to QM2 as soon as possible.

Has anyone used the included service - is it good or ... what?

We have sailed from New York with Cunard before and made our own arrangements and are wondering if we would be better off arranging a private taxi again.

I have used them from JFK to Manhattan Cruise terminal,so should be no different to Brooklyn with no problem. They obviously have the numbers allocated and will wait in the terminal until

all have collected luggage etc . Then you get on your Private Mini bus which is parked nearby. Found no problem although it does depend on your fellow passengers. If I remember correctly depending on numbers there may be several Private chauffeur mini buses

Just look for the Cunard Rep in the Terminal as you leave Homeland security section

We have used the Cunard coach service many times to and from all of the New York airports and have never had a problem.

Of course you have the option to arrange a private transfer at additional cost however on my last 'solo' Queen Mary 2 New York to Southampton...

...the Cunard arrangements were very good. On that occasion it was a British Airways flight but the ground handling team were Cunard.

For those that have used private hire to the port and visa versa a recommendation appears to be Arecibo cars who are Brooklyn based so know how to get to the port.
