Starboard or Port on Alaska RT from Seattle

Which one is the better choice? We will be doing either a balcony or mini suite balcony room.

If it's a round trip, then you will have views on one side going, and the other side coming back...don't think it matters!

Here is the route. I didn't know if there would be a preferred side since it is a little different to and from.

thats where I would be picking my choices from-= that way I am NEVER on the "wrong" side

I chose mid ship port side so we would have what I hope is a great view when going southbound.

Disneygirl10, How was the port side? We are on starboard side but still can switch to port on the same deck.

We had port side, mid ship, deck 7 on Millennium in Alaska southbound, 3 years ago. Chose same cabin for this May. Perfect views, and no issues with motion

You definitely want port side for Glacier Bay. Have done Alaska six times now. Aft gives you a perfect view... best are the suites all the way forward for viewing, but get a lot of wind, except in Glacier Bay.

We did a Holland America trip on that same itinerary last summer. Starboard side, mid ship. I would choose that again as the trip north was slower, more in the daylight, with wonderful vistas inland. On the return south, the ship was going faster, more at night.

We did aft last summer from Seattle. And oh boy it was amazing. We could see so much!
