I'm planning our first cruise as a family! Two 30 year olds and a 5 year old and a 3 year old. My wife and I have cruise twice with carnival before children. I'm locked into these two due to date restrictions and previous Disney vacation arrangements. So how would Royal compare to carnival? If you have been on both boats how would they compare. Also any thing different between the children's program? Thank you. We will be booking tomorrow

Both ships are older ,Valor 2004 , Majesty quite a bit older (1992) .

Both will have good kids programs .

With 4 people , Majesty cabins are much smaller than the Valor or any CCL ship for that matter. As previous CCL cruisers , you will notice that difference.

Majesty is one of the oldest and smallest RC ships. The ship is well maintained, but I don't think it's a true representation of RC's fleet. As long as you are aware of this you will be fine. Cabins are smaller than other ships. RC has a reputation for having excellent children's programs on all their ships.
