Early December - Christmas/festive decorations etc

We're looking at Aurora R519 - 5 Dec-19th Dec.

Would the ship be decked out for Christmas by that time? trees, decorations, etc?

Our son, 8 years old, spent nearly 6 months in hospital over Christmas last year, so we're looking to do something memorable this year, now that he's well enough to travel.

Yes, it should be decorated by then.

If the decorations are not up when you board they will go up sometime during your cruise. We cruise at the beginning of December every year and the decorations are not usually up when we board but every year the elves and fairies do a brilliant job during the night. Don't forget to take your Xmas sweaters with you, we have found that a lot people tend to wear them on P&O in December. Enjoy your cruise, your son will love the decorations.

Yes, the decorations will be up for several days into the New Year, after which they will be taken down and stored for disembarkation at the end of the cruise.
