Work Begins on Two New Crystal River Ships

A keel-laying ceremony at MV Werften shipyard in Wismar has marked the start of the building process for Crystal River Cruises' new Rhine-class Crystal Bach and Crystal Mahler vessels. Joining Crystal's expanding river cruise fleet in summer 2017, the 110-passenger Crystal Bach and Crystal Mahler will be the first new-build vessels introduced to the line, with a focus on sailings on the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers in Europe. Crystal Bach and Crystal Mahler join Crystal Mozart -- currently the largest river ship afloat on Europe's rivers -- which launched in summer 2016 as the line's first river vessel.
