whiteladder42 Posted July 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2015 I am celebrating my birthday onboard the upcoming Eastbound QM2 (departing Aug 4th) and wondered if anyone has any ideas how to celebrate on board? I believe my husband has some notion of a cake for me! Are there any birthday perks anyone is aware of or is it limited to the flowers/champagne/fruit baskets mentioned on the Cunard website? Thanks in advance-I am very excited to spend my birthday onboard!
HelloKittysMum Posted July 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2015 Happy Birthday. We'll be on board but unfortunately the ship docks two days before my husband's birthday. Might celebrate a bit though.
BlueRiband Posted July 29, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2015 We don't know what you like. Maybe you want to treat yourself to a Chopard Cunard 175 scarf. (Be warned however that it's Chopard and priced accordingly. A cake can be ordered, but if you don't want singing waiters have a quiet word with the Maitre D'. On my WB I saw a small cake being presented at a table with just quiet congratulations from the waiters.
Sauer-kraut Posted July 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2015 Cunard had a birthday card waiting in our cabin as we boarded on my birthday, other than that and the rust remover that was in the fridge there wasn't anything else complimentary that I received. Mom ordered a lovely arrangement of flowers (that tended to get in the way as there wasn't a lot of empty space in the inside cabin. LOL)
foster269 Posted July 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 29, 2015 hello,I have had a very nice card and a balloon on the pillow and a mention on the Cruise Directors television programme. My wife I am glad to say made sure there were no table celebrations, they are not for me or her.I cant see the point of a cake after a Cunard meal. What ever you decide to do just enjoy that and the cruise. Rodger.
