viking shipboard account

What currency is viking's shipboard account (river cruise), such as drinks and merchandises? Can I withdraw € at the Customer Service?

it depends on where your cruise is of course

but for our last Danube cruise the documents provided state that on board account and currency is the Euro altho at the end of the trip US dollars can also be used to settle your account. To draw cash they recommended ATMs which were readily available in each port.

Euros are the ship board currency but you cannot cash checks or exchange currencies at the desk. You must either bring local currency with you or use ATMs off the ship.
