Assisi vs Arezzo

Having never been to either town (Assisi or Arezzo), we are still undecided what town to include with a tour of Corona on the same day. Can anyone please help us in deciding which to pick. I'm sure we can't go wrong with either one, but it's nice to have others opinions, especially people who have visited the towns. Thank you!

There is no comparison - to to Assisi! The town is gorgeous and the Cathedral is one of the absolute best in Italy. Make sure you know the history of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Clare before you go - and a little background on Giotto might be helpful too.

My recommendation is based on living in Rome for 5 years and whenever we had house guests we always made a day trip to Assisi with stops in Deruta for pottery and Torgiano for lunch and wine (fabulous Rubesco by Lungarotti) at Le Tre Vaselle. We last vacationed in Italy a few years ago at a villa outside Arezzo which was one of the very few tourist cities we hadn't visited before. We quickly realized why - there are much more interesting Tuscan towns :D.
