Another Dining Question

Hello,

We're cruising on the Divina in September. We are seasoned cruisers, but this is our first with MSC.

We are a family of 5. Is it typical for a family of 5 to be seated with other cruisers. We've always had a table to ourselves on every other cruise line and we'd prefer that. Can we make this happen? We aren't antisocial, we just prefer to spend our dinners catching up with each other and we really value that time to ourselves.

Also, I've heard about slow dining service... Would it be rude to let the server know that we value expedited dining? Has anyone tried greasing the wheels a bit with an upfront tip?

And do we have the same dining team for the entire cruise?

Hi Ron,

We just got off Divina and were seated together for dinner but we were 7 not 5. The dinners ran about 1 1/2 hours. Plenty of time to have a drink or two before the 9:00 show. We had the same crew every night we went. We did go the specialty restaurants two nights however but the kids went to the MDR and had the same guys.

Thank you. 1 1/2 hours isn't too bad... We do late dining. When that goes long it gets hard to keep our eyes open....
