janny444 Posted April 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2016 Hi....finally decided to give FO a try...a taster cruise to start with. Just a couple of questions for now Is there a buffet option available on the Boudicca for lunch/dinner instead of the main dining room? Are kettles & tea making facilities available in all grades of cabins?
tring Posted April 1, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2016 Tea/coffee making facilities are in all cabins on Boudicca and the other Fred ships. On all ships, Fred has a self service buffet in the main restaurants for breakfast and lunch, although there is also a menu if you wish to order from that. Those meals are less formal and people come and go, even if sitting on the same table, so you can take as long or little time as you want for the meal. Dinner in MDR's is on an allocated table for either early or late sitting. There are also buffet restaurants on all of Fred's ships, though Boudicca does have quite a small buffet restaurant, so there are sometimes occasions when you may have to wait to get into it. Not many people choose to eat in the buffet for dinner though, so you may well be able to go in whenever you want to do so. The good point about the buffets on Fred's ships is that the tables are set nicely with table cloths, rather than the canteen type of buffets that are provided by some other cruise lines. It is easier to get a table for two in the buffet restaurants.
