What are the dance venues on Preziosa, any ballroom venue? New to MSC

We are booked on the Preziosa sailing in November. We have sailed on other cruise lines before but it's our first time on MSC. We like to do some dancing in the evening, and are wondering what are the dance venues on this ship other than the disco with DJ music. How many live bands are on board playing dancing music. (Not counting piano sing-along and other easy listening music). I saw some videos on Youtube for the "Safari Lounge", is there another lounge that also has a live band playing dancing music? Do they have any theme night like Disco music night, or Rock and Roll night and so on? Do they have any venue for ballroom dancing for Cha Cha, Waltz, Foxtrot and so on? We usually like to alternate among different dance lounges in the evening, so just wondering how many lounges are there to choose from for the same evening.

We are from Canada, and am aware of the fact that English speaking people will be the minority, and wondering the music they play, would it be pretty universal current top chart music or classic hits that we will recognize, or it's music that caters to more European taste?

Any other additional info on the ship is welcome. Such as food, service, activities offered...etc.Thank you in advance.

We just got of the Preziosa last friday.

In the safari lounge there dancing every night, and dance lessons every night.

There is a lot of music around the ship but can't remember many people dancing just some at the other lounges but not much, mostly in the safari lounge and the disco.

They have several theme nights on our cruise it was:

2 gala, italian night (red-white-green), white night, 60s-70s-80s night and 1 casual and 1 informal night.

There where a lot of english speaking people on board on our cruise.

The music is mixed old, new, classic, english to italian, you will deffinetly recognize most music.

If you want more specific info on somethings just ask or copies of the daily planner leave me a message with your email and i will scan them and email them to you.

So, gam888, how was the dancing? We're ballroom dancers ourselves and we like to dance every night on a cruise (never bother with the shows).

We did some dancing every night. However, the only ballroom we did was Cha Cha and Rumba and some swing dances. Although the Safari Lounge's dance floor was big, the band didn't really play too many songs that are suitable for waltz or foxtrot. Also it gets very busy after around 10:30pm when they start some kind of theme night activities, and it gets very warm in the room to the point that it was kind of uncomfortable. There is another lounge called Green Jazz Lounge (?) that offers dancing as well but the dance floor was not that big. The disco we went once but didn't stay because it was filled with younger people and the music was not what we feel enticing to dance to. So if you like dancing, there are plenty of opportunities, but you might not have that many chances to do the Waltz and Foxtrot or other ballroom dances that requires lots of travelling space. Otherwise, you will still be able to go from lounge to lounge every night and find plenty of dancing.
