transportation from MIA to the port

We have two kids and two adults, will arrive at noon at MIA. MSC Divina departure time is 7 PM. Anyone knows what's the best plan for us?

Do we take a taxi to the port? Will they allow us to check in that early?

By noon, if not earlier, they will start boarding the ship. No need to kill time. Once you board you can go grab a bite to eat, if the cabin is not ready. I would take a taxi. Since there are four, just make sure you get an SUV. The taxi fare to the port is a set amount ( I can't remember what it is).

Anyone knows what's the set rate for taxi? Just contacted MSC, said they offer shuttle service and that's 23 pp one way.

Taxi is flat rate of 27

They start check in about 1030-1045 and on the ship about noon.

You will have a line of people and a line of taxi's, not a long wait.

Not sure.. We have never left from Miami ... This will be our first cruise out of Miami ... But we just looked all this stuff up online...we get in at 9 am pending no delays

Legal age not to use car seat in Miami is 5 . Very possible no taxi will take you. I used shuttle buses from hotel or private transportation. Its more money but it's safer. Ask someone from Miami if taxi diver will take you with no seat.

thank you we finally decided to go with MSC shuttle. it'll be $23 per person so 69 for three of us and DS will ride for free.

shuttle are so expensive, quotes received range from 90 to 170.

I think you made the best choice. You would need car seats for a taxi,but not in a bus . Go figure!
