We will be celebrating our Anniversary on our upcoming cruise, how do you pre pay for a dining souvenir photo?
-
Here is my opinion - I prefer Carnival. But I do cruise NCL more often for the beverage package. If Carnival included a drink package and didn't limit you to 15 a day. I would sail with Carnival more often. 15 drinks might seem like a lot, but if my 75 year old mother could get 14 in a day - a mimosa or 2 at breakfast, a few drinks by the pool, a pre dinner drink..........it all adds up quickly.

I am confused - I thought the $50 shore excursion credit was only for $50 off of 1 person in the cabin. From what I am reading above it looks like it is $50 per person off of a shore excursion.

As little as possible. Doesn't matter if we are flying or getting onto a ship, I only take what is absolutely needed and for us. I do not like to be loaded down hauling a huge heavy carry on around.

We are booked for an NCL cruise in November of this year and there are no excursions listed yet, when do they usually appear?

I thought Carnival had switched from Coke to Pepsi.
Do they have Mountain Dew?

One more question about Clamshells.......It says they are first come first serve, but if you reserve one then I assume you are guaranteed to get one, does it just mean the better locations go first?
-
Can you put down the clamshell covering if you want to? can you move the chairs out?

Anyone know about cabins on the 13th deck. Cabin 13682?

but you have to keep your curtains closed most of the time.
LOL...my aunt would say "like living in Hess's window" (which of course makes no sense to anyone that isn't familar with the famous Hess's department store in Allentown, PA). My relatives did it...a CP room...and really liked it. If that's the scenery you want during a cruise, definitely go for it.
I loved Hess's. I remember the restaurant, where the models would have a fashion show while you ate and my the kids meals were served in a little toy oven

We are booked in Cabin 12682. I have a question for you......was your sofa near the bathroom or the balcony?

I never cruised on RC before do they give you many TV channels?

All of my past cruise (except 2 on NCL) have been on Carnival. Some of the differences I noticed are:
1) Cabins are smaller on NCL
2) Staff is more friendlier on Carnival
3) All of the restaurants on Carnival are free - except one. There are many that you have to pay for on NCL.
4) You don't have to book for shows on Carnival.
5) Carnival's theater with the main stage is with couches and tables, NCL is theater seats. Lots of things on Carnival are held there - NCL will try and squeeze 3000 people into the atrium for things.
They were just a few off the top of my head.

Often times, I don't know that I don't want to read a thread until after I open it up. There are multiple Anthem threads including one titled Anthem Delay, The Latest which seems to be inclusive of all the Anthem related news.
In this case, I was hoping for something Soobyy-Doo related.
If you hoover your cursor over the title, you can read the beginning of the post.

I like to use a pool towel for my shower and I always bring a clean one from the pool deck. On all of my previous cruises I have left the dirty pool towel on the floor and the steward would exchange it for a clean dry one. But on my last cruise the steward would remove it but did not return it with a clean one, was he wrong in not doing so or have I just been lucky with all the other ones?

Do you know when the change is taking place? We sail on the breakaway on Feb 15 and I am really looking forward to some Margaritaville Nachos.

As I prefer a "pillowy" bed, I always request a topper prior to embarkation and it's always been on the bed when I board. Not something I'd want to have to pack and bring with me!
Where do you make this request at?
-
Which do you prefer, Carnival or NCL?

When you were turned away from the Manhattan room for wearing shorts, was it the first night? I thought that the dress code wasn't enforced on the first night.

7) Try a different cruise line
-
Thanks for your answers everyone. I've gone on many cruise, but this is the first with my hubby. I've tried for years to get him to try it and finally succeed.
-
Do Men have to wear dress pants or jeans when they dine in the Manhattan room or are dressy shorts and a nice top acceptable? We will be on the Breakaway?
-
They made it to Grand Cayman - my friend is on the Breakaway now.
How many days until your next cruise??? Part 2
