Hello
I asked this question on the Africa board but didn't get any response yet though 116 people have read my post.
My elderly parents are boarding the Seven Seas Mariner on Nov 24 at the V&A waterfront.
Boarding time is 2pm.
IF they arrive earlier, is there anywhere for them to drop off their luggage & sit & wait to board ?
Thanks.

Surely someone has boarded a ship at the V&A waterfront & can answer my question ?
-
Thanks for all the suggestions.
I'm back from my cruise.
I was going to buy a 25 piece box of Norman Love chocolates for $ 48.50 but the expiry date was Sep 20, 2015 & they wouldn't even sell it for half price !
So I had a Cherry Coke & DH had a Black Forest Freeze Iced Coffee.
We also bought a photo.
Then on disembarkation day, we had a $ 0.40 credit from port taxes which you had to go the Purser's desk to get.
We still had money left from the OBC, so they refunded that too. YAY :)

Hello
I'm asking this question on behalf of my elderly parents who will be going on the Seven Seas Mariner on Nov 24.

Thanks for your help.

Regarding the fruit basket, apparently it's on request.
You ask your stateroom for a card that you fill out like a room service breakfast card.
There's a choice of: bananas, apples, pears, kiwi fruit oranges & you write down how many you want.
You can ask for a week's worth or order nightly.

Glad you had a great cruise.
Thanks for the report.
Really ? No wonder everyone was getting 3 scoops.
It wasn't really clear.
Now I need to book another Princess cruise...just for the gelato :)

Thanks for the review. We will be going on the Crown this November to Mexico. We haven't been on Princess in 9 years. What did you think of the shows?
We were also on this cruise.
They had 2 production shows.
The 1st one was What a Swell Night. It featured old-time music.
The 2nd one was Boogie Nights featuring disco music. Sadly, we missed this one.
They also had comedian Carlos Oscar who won Princess Entertainer of the Year. He was funny without being crass.
Also, Ventriloquist Dan Horn. He was ok.

I was able to book it for every night before but you can also call the RCI Pre-Cruise Planning Team.
I don't have the number off-hand but you can probably call Reservations & ask them for the number.
They can also book specialty dining, shore excursions, entertainment, spa treatments etc.
You don't have to deal with the online frustration.

Hello Gotta,
Can you come back & finish your wonderful report ? Thanks & Happy Labor Day !
-
I'll be on the Crown in a few weeks & just discovered that I have $ 50.00 OBC.
This is my 1st time on Princess.
What's a good way to spend it ?
-
Thanks for sharing the secrets.
I'll be on the Crown in a few weeks with high anticipation now.

Enjoying your posts as we are on the Sept 12 sailing.

Asia is usually available in September.

Gwen, thanks for posting this detailed review.
We will be sailing her on Sept 12.
This is our 5th cruise to Alaska & our 1st time on Princess after a long absence.
-
For Alaska, always pack layers.
Also, a toque & mittens for glacier viewing.
You can also check cruiseoutlook dot com closer to sailing for the weather in the ports of call.
-
You've been to St Thomas which is Charlotte Amalie so go with Option 1.
-
If you have a Captain's Club number, enter it first & if there are any Seniors Rates; they automatically appear.
They had Seniors Rate on the Equinox for Sep 19 this year.
-
Can you post the Princess Patters ?
We're on Sep 12. Thanks !
-
Does HAL really deny boarding if you show up at the pier & you haven't done your online check-in ?

Today May 06 is Travel Agent Day.
Thanks to all the Travel Agents out there for all the work they do.

The same thing happened to us. We booked with a TA.
We are 2 adults, 1 child & 1 grandparent.
We booked 2 rooms, 1 a double for grandma & child; & a triple for us so kid could sleep in our room.
Sometime after final payment, we noticed that our room number was different.
RCI said that they automatically move people if the occupany doesn't match the room.
The TA didnt' even know about it until I told her.

Disney increases the rates as the sailing date approaches.

Here's a link to a recent review http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2135010
This woman & her mother spent 1 week in Honolulu before their cruise.
They were also booked in a 2 bedroom suite.
Here are the picture links to just the cruise:
She gives lots of practical tips.
