  1. Included - Water park, Sky Ride. Mini golf, table football, high ropes. On vista there were pub games but as Horizon hasn't got a red frog pub I don't know about them. If you have access to Family Harbour lounge game consoles in there.

Charge - IMAX slightly cheaper than on land, thrill theatre it was something like $7 or $14.50 for unlimited pass. Arcade

  2. I can't comment on the balcony because I've only stayed in OV & inside, although I've a FH balcony booked on Horizon.

We found the harbour lounge great for drinks first thing in the morning. Breakfast on port days. we have four in our cabin so two would chill in the lounge whilst the other two got dressed for the evening.

We didn't use the consoles or anything else in the lounge, it was only a few months into Vista when we sailed but the board games were trashed, and there wasn't much choice of console games.

Obviously we liked it because we've chose to stay in FH again. I would check the number if your cabin against reviews. I know 2412 which we have booked for Horizon has complaints about noise from the galley.

We ate in JiJis our son was free as he was 12, we didn't use the babysitting service.

  3. There are a number of local bus companies that offer reasonably priced transfers. I used them two years ago & plan on using them again in April.

The only place we shared a private tour was Naples for Herculeneum, Sorrento & Positano although this year Ive found a bus which is slightly cheaper & its Pompeii this time.

Livorno - Pisa or Florence or Lucca or a combo

I cant remember the name of the company i was looking at for Rome, we are stayimg onboard & having 3 days in Rome later on the year. I do remeber though they had a good variety of trips, ranging from just a bus transfer to a panoramic tour, that was around 30 eur. If I remember ill come back & post the link.

  4. Last year we sailed on Jade the year before Vista. I thought the food was better in Jade MDR. The buffet choices were a lot better on Jade and the layout a lot easier to navigate. No queues, There was only ever once side open on Vista.

I loved O'Sheehans being able to get some wings or fries etc after a show to soak up the alcohol.

I do really like the Blueguana Cantina, & guys.

The Asian food is much better on Carnival (jijis) than Jade but that's comparing a paid with a complimentary so not really fair.

There are lots to like about both, next cruise is Carnival Horizon.

I definitely prefer the choice on the big ships so I would like to try one of the newer NCL ships the year after.

  5. We had a lovely morning escaping from the August sun here.http://www.catacombedinapoli.it/en/places/catacombs-of-san-gennaro-naples

It was inexpensive & included a tour guide.

  6. Thanks do you think that you liked the 2nd bathroom more than a balcony? Do you have any pictures

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

We've never had a balcony, but most probably not. A balcony is £500 more expensive than the OV on our next cruise, so it's a cost decision for us.

I do have pics but they are on my phone & I've no idea how to put them on here. Sorry.

  7. We did B2B Aug 16, we booked them a few months apart. We had an inside FH 2440 & OV FH. 2454

We used it for Juice & brews first thing in the morning & the odd snack. I didn't notice anymore noIse from kids here than anywhere I've stayed on ships.

I really like the layout, colours & second bathroom.

I've just booked the inaugural cruise on Horizon & booked FH OV.

  8. There's your problem.

It's the agency charging you rebooking fees, not NCL. I would demand they give them back. If whoever you speak to says no, speak to a supervisor above them. Keep hammering them until they give in because they aren't out any money as a result of the change, but instead they are profiteering from your misfortune.

You're half right, as a result of your post I rang NCL and asked as if I was a new customer. They confirmed if the new booking cost less than the original booking which it does, then a charge of £35pp would be added, so the TA has added £40pp as well.

The customer service dept of the TA isnt open until Mon so I will give them a call then.
