Just put that much cash aside and put it on your account at the beginning of the cruise. At the end of the week, anything leftover will be refunded to you.
You have the convenience of being prepaid, while getting your money's worth b/c you're only paying for what you actually drink.Great strategy!

We booked a 7day out of New Orleans leaving March 31st. Under our vacation summary it states we leave Phoenix March 30th. I haven’t received my flight info yet as it’s too early but I was wondering if anybody had any experience with this? I’m guessing it’s going to be a red eye?
Would love to hear what happened with your flights . . . Was it a redeye?
I'm nervous about things that seem to be too good to be true -- we're in the process of booking a cruise on Bliss in April 2020 (Panama Canal NYC - Seattle), and the rate for the free air seems impossible: $49.50 per person for a flight from Seattle to NYC the day before the cruise departs. Is such a thing possible? Of course, I guess it may end up being a redeye -- probably will -- but still, I'd appreciate thoughts or input from anyone who has used the Free Air . . .

Campolady,
Thank you for all of the great advice and commentary on this thread! We'll be in Malaga on May 3 aboard Oasis... we've booked a 2-hour Segway tour, and I am curious to hear any opinions or comments you may have ...

Thanks, Biker19, for the link. Just curious; I'm a C&A member, and I noticed that it said it's for C&A members only -- is there some kind of selection on C&A that I need to choose in order to receive the GGG?
-
Biker19, please explain what the GGG Flier is? (" Oasis and Allure are on the GGG flier almost every week with those kinds of prices or lower.")
Newbie always in search of knowledge (and deals :-))

I'll be sure to post a "Post Exploration" report!

My list so far (not in any particular order; just the order I "found" them:
Caipirinha (kai-purr-REEN-yah) is the national drink of Brazil. – uses Cachaça (a Brazilian liquor (pronounced kah-SHAH-sah) ), sugar, and lime. Check the R Bar. Ask them to make it with raw sugar, not simple syrup. At the pool bar, they can run into WJ and get raw sugar packets
Lavender Daiquiri in the Schooner Bar
Coco Loco on Coco Cay
Pina Colada with double shot of Malibu (maybe ask for ice cream for the perfect PC as found in Old San Juan?)
Infinity Recipe (one of a handful of "Bionic Signature" drinks)
Ingredients: 2 oz. Beefeater gin, 2 oz. cranberry juice, 2 oz. tonic, 1 oz. lime juice
Add ingredients to cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into glass, over ice.
Miami Vice*
Master Card*
Mudslide
Cosmo
Sex on the Beach
Chocolate Martini (Baleros Bar)
Rising Tide*
Habanero & Grapefruit Daiquiri in the Schooner Bar
Dublin Ice tea
tequila with jalapeños topped with beer
* I don't know what's in these; they just sounded interesting! Any hints as to ingredients?
Two more days to complete my list!!

Great review; thanks for the room tour! Just curious; did the noise from the Promenade make it through your patio door? I noticed the sounds as soon as you opened the door in the tour, but hadn't heard (or noticed, anyway) any sounds prior to that . . .
-
Thanks for the suggestions so far -- I'm adding all of them!
About the Caipirinhas -- I had to Google the term to find out what's in them -- and how to pronounce it (kai-purr-REEN-yah). Can't wait to try out my pronunciation on a bartender :-).
A (maybe) funny story -- when I spent my Junior year in London, I spent some time traveling around Scotland with some newfound friends (Kiwis!). In one pub, I decided to try out a new drink I had heard about back in the US; being just a LITTLE inebriated, I found the cutest bartender in sight, and asked him if he could make me a Sloe Comfortable Screw (Sloe Gin, Southern Comfort, Vodka and orange juice). He looked at me, raised an eyebrow, and said with a gorgeous Scottish burr, "You'll have to wait a wee minute, Lassie, until I'm off!" Loud guffaws all around . . .

On our next two cruises, we'll be purchasing the Deluxe Beverage Package. One of the things I want to do is to try new drinks -- I've been developing a list of possible candidates (the first cruise is just a 4-night cruise). What's your recommendation for new drinks to try when purchasing the DBP? I've been making a list . . . Just added Caipirinha to it!! I am not wild about whiskey/bourbon, but am willing to give them a try! I would appreciate any and all recommendations!

I broke my fibula when I was a teacher in a middle school (age 58) -- no stairs, but a really big school with loooonnnngggg ramps! The first two weeks, I was in an air cast and used crutches, non-weight-bearing. After that, my Ortho wanted me to start weight-bearing activities, so I used the crutches and then a cane. By the fourth week, I was using just a cane. While everyone's different, I would check with your Ortho, and see what the prognosis is for three weeks out in terms of weight bearing. I definitely agree with watching out for other people -- and crutches do tend to attract attention (of the good sort) in terms of others looking out for you. Assuming that it wasn't a compound fracture, do you have limitations on getting it wet? If not, hydrotherapy was actually something my Ortho recommended for me. Silver lining -- if you HAVE to break a bone in your leg, the FIBULA is definitely the way to go . . .

I think I'll start a new thread -- what's your recommendation for new drinks to try when purchasing the DBP? I've been making a list . . . Just added Caipirinha to it!! Personally, I'm looking forward to trying out new things . . .

10 days to Enchantment and 309 days until Brilliance!

I signed my DH up for this when we are in Nassau on Feb 6 -- I'll be sure to post a review as well. Thanks for the great description, and for the information that spectators are allowed -- I was wondering :-)

I changed our hotel to Radisson at the Port -- for various reasons, including $, location, and access to restaurants! Does anyone have any thoughts on Zachary's? Or other restaurants near RatP?
-
Thanks, iahawkfan21! I'll look them up :-)

Any recommendations for Cocoa Beach restaurants? We'll be staying at La Quinta oceanfront, but won't have a car; could probably grab an Uber if there's somewhere that is a "Don't Miss." We won't get to the hotel until after dark (probably around 6 pm on Feb 3), so don't want to have to go too far afield. I've heard that the Tiki Bar on the end of the pier is okay -- thoughts?
-
Thanks for the feedback on CBS! We will be using them to get from MCO to Cocoa Beach on Feb 3 -- our flight gets in at 4:45 pm so we'll be too late for the "standard" shuttles. The one-way fare they gave me for two of us is $58; I have been checking the CostCo car rental site every day in hopes of "beating" that with a one-way rental, but so far the cheapest I've found is $95. I'll keep watching, but am not extremely hopeful. I appreciate your review :-)

What a great review! Thank you for all of the information :-)
I tried searching the boards for an answer to this, I really did -- so please forgive me if it's already been answered somewhere -- does the Deluxe Beverage Package cover beverages at Coco Cay (or any other RCI-owned/operated port of call)?

We will be embarking on the Enchantment on Feb 4, and have an Oceanview Stateroom (3020). In our previous cruises, we've been in Balcony Staterooms. I would appreciate feedback on any/all of the following:
1. Any specific information on 3020 (I know it's forward, on the port side . . . that's about it).
2. Any tips or hacks for making the best use of the stateroom features (or lack thereof)? For example, it appears likely that we'll have a shower curtain, so I plan on bringing some binder clips to weight down the shower curtain.
3. How big are the windows? Do they have curtains? (OK, I can hear the chuckles already -- but I'm thinking more about blocking sunshine rather than Peeping Toms!)
Thanks!

I purchased a bottle of Bacardi for our 15 day cruise in October 2018; $46 for a liter bottle. It lasted the entire cruise; I brought on a 6-pack of Coke (bottles), and occasionally brought orange juice back to the stateroom too. It worked out really well -- I managed (with help!) to finish the bottle before the end of the cruise . . .
CocoCay and Snorkeling
in Royal Caribbean International

I snorkeled there in February -- it was great! My (very old!) fins broke while I was swimming out to the first raft. I went ("limped" back in, went to the Snorkel Shack, and they were kind enough to give me a set (rent-free!) to complete my snorkeling expedition. I didn't have my GoPro with me, and didn't see as much as Twangster did, but did see the airplane wreck, an (uncharted!) anchor, and lots of fish. I had purchased a snorkel vest from Amazon before going on the cruise, and actually felt quite comfortable in it -- and it proved its worth on my first trek back in to shore with my nonfunctional flippers!
