We also do not drink alcohol, looking forward to our first Diamond cruise, 15 days on Anthem from Japan to Seattle next April-May. Got 60 drinks each, also being diabetic avoid fruit juices and most sodas. Would prefer the Norwegian perk we get with 2 specialty dinners for 2, but will enjoy our drinks as best we can.

Wow $800 for a Panama transit. Tampa all the way to Vancouver. Oct 2025 royal is doing vancouver to San Diego and San Diego to ft Lauderdale on radiance. Have to pay for 2 legs and I'd bet each leg is twice what you are paying. What a great deal.
I see a frequent poster who booked both legs but not flr $800. Is that $800 total or pp. I gotta check around more.
Was back in 2015!!!

Had a similar offer from Norwegian on a 7 day cruise NYC to Canada, got a full refund plus $1,000 credit on a future cruise which I had already booked through the Panama Canal 19 days from Tampa to Vancouver, only costed about $800 for wife and I to cruise. We had been called about 2 months before the sail date, were offered the deal immediately and took it .

We found the cheapest way for us to fly to New York from the Philippines was by flying from Singapore, so we went 3 days early and took our first less than 7 day cruise by doing 3 days out of Singapore on Spectrum. It got us to 80 points each and Diamond status. Our next Royal Caribbean cruise is April next year, 15 days out of Tokyo to Seattle on Anthem. So we each will get 60 free drinks, a great deal but we are not drinkers. We enjoyed the 3 day cruise, great food, very relaxing before our flight home by way of Saudi Arabia.

Last September sailed NCL Sky from Baltimore to Quebec, was only 75% full. The return from Quebec to Baltimore had even less passengers, it is a 2,000 double occupancy ship. Seems to verify lack of demand from and to Baltimore.

Off topic here, just noticed Norwegian Cruise Line has an advertisement on the back of the pitcher's mound in Miami as the fish lose to the Phillies again. Has the full name and a small NCL shield.

so not a drone from land then!
Could have been someone on the ship I guess, but I don't fancy my chances of landing an expensive drone on a small bit of deck out at sea on a ship that's moving at around 18kts.Might have been a Divine Wind drone.

Was on a 3 day on Spectrum out of Singapore, was listed but no one else showed up.
-
If there is not one listed you can start one, Royal Caribbean will supply a space, nothing more.
-
Spectrum had announcements in English and two other languages out of Singapore, and there was an overwhelming amount of passports from the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.

Have done the TA in both directions, prefer heading west with 25 hour days rather than east with 23 hour days. Gonna try Japan to Seattle in 2026, April 25 to May 9 on the Anthem, hoping the Pacific lives up to its name.

The MDR food was not up to par and not served hot, I know "It's the MDR, not specialty", still below any expectation. We did try the Filet Mignon and Lobster Tail offered at an extra charge, and found those items were pretty darn good. We also had Chops Grille, which was also very good....Prime Rib and Roasted Chicken. Breakfast was very challenging, nothing was done right, needed steak knife to cut toast, scrambled eggs was like yellow mud.....all edible, still below expectations
Hey Beer Belly, noticed you lost your part time job on the Simpsons.

Let me start by saying we've been on approximately 35 cruises. Most of them have been Azamara,NCL,Royal Caribbean, Celebrity with one MSC included. The food quality and selection on RCL borders on par with MSC which is pretty bad. The prime rib was fatty and as tough as shoe leather. The NY strip steak that the gentleman next to us looked like a door stop and he stated it was uneditable. There is no comparison to NCL whatsoever. We tried Chops hoping for a better steak experience but it was just a bit better. Definitely not with the 190 up charge. In the future it will be NCL,Azamara and Oceania only.Bye Bye RCL !
Reminds me how much better my meatless diet is, have had very good vegetarian and vegan dishes on RC.

Wish they would schedule stops or cruises out of DR in the fall while the baseball league is playing.

You are allowed to select 4 items on the menu. We used my specialty ticket and each ordered two items, then the next time we used my wife's ticket and each ordered two items. As per the advice of our waiter we stopped in at the garden cafe and grabbed dessert.

Will be traveling on Liberty as our first Diamond cruise this September. We do not drink alcohol, was wondering what other drinks will be available, such as milkshakes.

Some big misses. I remember when RCCL announced they were building the first ship for the Chinese market. Every other cruise line jumped on the bandwagon (JOY) and built ships for the Chinese market. We all seen how that worked out.
I just did Spectrum of the Seas out of Singapore in March, had the best meal I ever had at sea in the Sichuan Red specialty restaurant, there were 5,000 passengers on that cruise, most traveling on Asian passports.

Sure. And there will be no shortage of smaller ships that call to them.
Bar Harbor is drawing the line at 1,000 cruisers a day. No NCL ships will be stopping in.

More like Oasis class ships. RCCL is launching the Utopia this summer (we're already booked). And RCCL has no problem keeping all of their Oasis class ships full and busy
And they can sail out of NY at Cape Liberty.
Four included daily drinks benefit. My wish = Soda Package instead
