  1. Tropicaledrink,

Thanks, Yeah I was hoping someone who stayed would post pics. I didn't even know these exsisted but was talking to a customer service rep at Carnival and he told me about them. It cost me $20.00 to upgrade to the corner unit 9201 per person from my inside cabin so I jumped on it. Its a port intensive cruise, so I really don't need a balcony, but the window will be awesome. thanks for giving me something :)

  2. If anyone has any pictures of one of the two 6K rooms it would be great to see. We were able to get one, but the price is not much difference in going to a balcony. We stay in a variety of rooms, as we like to try different rooms, but was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the new rooms on Freedom?

    Thanks,

    Kathy

  3. Thanks everyone. just to calm my nerves I changed it to a 1:30 flight and Southwest was great and it only cost me $30.00 total to change. SO now I won't stress so much :)

I never book early flights, so I must not have been thinking that day!

    Looking forward to the Dream!

  4. Hey all I think I might have made a mistake on my daughters airfare and I need help before I call the airline.

I have my daughter and her fiancee catching a 10am flight out of New Orleans on the day we return from our Dream Cruise. I thought I had picked the 11:30 flight but obviously didn't

I have never been to the New Orleans port or airport. Do they dock early enough to get a 10am flight? Will they allow them self assist to get off early like in Ft Lauderdale?

    any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Kathy

  5. I have done the ultimate balcony dinner in princess and it was awesome

If you ever go on princess it is so worth it .

On carnival last year my hubby didn't feel well so I asked to take his dinner back for him. We had become super friendly with our wait staff and they packed it all up and let me take it to him. I think it's the luck of the draw with the wait staff

If you want to try it I would. Good luck!

  6. I agree don't lose hope. My spa balcony on the Dream finally dropped the other day. My daughters inside spa has not. I was envious too thinking I would never see a price drop.... it was fun to get one, I hope you do too.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise!

  7. I had my daughter and her fiancee linked to my sail and sign account in Port Canaveral on the Sensation. I was paying for the whole trip. I am the only platinum. There paperwork did not say VIP and they were allowed through with me and their cards were in with mine in the VIP lounge.

Maybe it varies from port to port.

  8. I just saw a price drop on my cabin. I called Carnival and the lady verified that there was a price drop. it was an $80.00 difference. but she said I only get 64.00 because my taxes went up? I looked at my original invoice and my taxes were $159.62 and on the new invoice my taxes are 175.62. I did not change cabins. I am booked under Early saver and my cruise is paid in full.

    What am I missing?

    THanks,

    Kathy

  9. No you do not need the credit card that you originally paid with. I have had this happen.

Just be sure to call Carnival and make sure the new cc is on file in case of final payment (if not made) is good to go.

then you can go under manage accounts and add your new credit card for check in.

    have a great cruise!

  10. Quick question. We just got the card. We are paying for our daughters upcoming wedding and I have the cash to pay for it over the next two months. If I instead charge those items and pay off the card each month, how soon can I redeem the points.

I have a back to back on the Dream and Freedom in August/Sept.

    Thanks,

    Kathy

  11. Our friends booked under ES with us on the $50.00 deposit. they booked a ocean suite. when they tried to move to a regular balcony, Carnival would not let them. They said they can move up just not down in category without losing the money and re booking. After calling and speaking with multiple supervisors at Carnival, they finally agreed to let them move to a Spa Balcony. it took a few days and a few different people but finally they were able to move.

I wasn't sure if you were under early saver or not?
