I did alot of research trying to find a hotel for our 11 night cruise in Sept. Booked the Hampton Inn Coconut Grove for $141.00 which included the tax and parking for 7 nights and shuttle to port. Extra days parking was $5.00 per day. This was the best deal I could find. Way cheaper than parking at the port and eliminates having to rush the day of sailing. Even adding in the price to return to the hotel after cruise it's worth it.

Even after 35+ cruises, my first favorite moment is pulling up to the port and seeing the ship just sitting there. Don't know why that scene just hits me, but that's when I really feel we are on vacation.

My cruise in Sept offers a senior, military and resident rate which are all the same but no perks included. Had I booked with the perks instead, the total price would have been about $1000.00 more. You get perks but they are built into the price.

Has anyone stayed there recently? I am hoping to get some current reviews of the hotel. I have seen a number of reviews on different websites and while some were pretty good, others were not so flattering. I am trying to decide on a place to stay with car parking while on our cruise. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The cruise is already booked for 11 nights. I found a few hotels that that let you park for anywhere from 5-10 days with a park and cruise package. I probably just need to decide on the right hotel and pay for the extra parking.

We are also stuck with late dining and wait listed for Celebrity Select and we don't leave until September. Have not done late dining in probably our last 25 or so cruises. I will try to get it changed once on board and will even take early dining as long as we can get it changed.

Trying to find a hotel with 11 night cruise package in Sept. but having a hard time with the search. I have found a few hotels with cruise packages but not sure if any offer 11 nights. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It's been 10 years since we sailed from Miami and we got free parking at the port with the handicap placard. Our last 6-8 cruises have been from Tampa or PT. Canaveral. Any suggestions on a nice hotel with cruise parking. I have only found a few choices but with all the hotels in Miami I must be searching the wrong sites. The few I found only provide transportation to the port but not back to the hotel. As a last resort depending on the total price, we may just park at the port. Not sure if any of the off site parking places can be trusted.

We used them a few times when we lived in Tampa and had no problems. The lot is exactly as described in the above post and the price was great. Make sure to search for a promo code which should save 10%.

Thanks to all that responded. I knew that requesting to be waitlisted or trying to change it after boarding were the only options but was not sure how much these really work. The crazy thing is that about 2 weeks later the same sailing only has any time dining as the only available option at this time. I really prefer the first sailing as it leaves on my birthday and the other sailing is $200.00 more. I wonder if the dining selections opens up as some people decide to cancel before final payment.

Found a great cruise but only 2nd seating currently available. We have chosen anytime dining for our last 10 cruises so have not needed to try and get dinner seating time changed. Even first seating not available at this time. Cruise is still 7 months away. Would greatly appreciate any feedback from people that have tried to get seating time changed and if you had any luck.

We will also be on the ship this Friday. I have had the fish and chips many times and never found it to be crowded on any day. The fish and chips are always good when not to greasy.

We will be on the Valor for 8 days at the end of this month and will see what the actual choices we are presentred with are.

Even after 35+ cruises, pulling up to the port and seeing the ship gets me every time.

Great review. Will be on the Valor the end of Sept. This will be our 8th or 9th Carnival cruise and 35th overall. A cruise is what you make it so really looking forward to the end of Sept. We will go with great expectations and hope for the best.

Have been on NCL twice and Carnival 8-9 times. Breakfast buffet and lunch buffet on NCL much better. Had the free drink deal last year before with tips already included. Dont like the many new changes on NCL but purchased 2 future cruiuse deposits last year and have 3 years to use them. Hope I can find some cruises that have good prices so will need to keep checking. We will be on the Valor in Sept. so really looking forward to that.

Back when we first started to cruise about 40 years ago, it was on Home Lines out of N.Y. The food was fabulous, including the midight buffet. Was looking out some old pictures recently and could not believe the spread they put out. Still have the menues from those cruises. I would gain 10 pounds on a 7 day and 15 on a ten day. Cant eat like that anymore, but also the food is nothing like the old days. Looking over the old menues and daily programs brings back some great memories. Very glad I saved them to show how things have changed.

Rec'd a free cruise offer about 4 years ago and booked an extended balcony on the Legend. A year later got another casino offer and booked a balcony for about $400.00. We currently have a casino offer of 40% off and $50.00 cash. it's not a great deal but we booked an 8 day cruise on the Valor.

Got a free cabin offer 4 or 5 years ago and booked a balcony. Just paid taxes and fees. A year later got another casino offer and booked a balcony for about $400.00 for 7 days. My wife only plays the penny slots and does not spend much. Her current casino offer is nothing special but we did book a balcony for 8 days for $1800.00. Was looking at a 7 day NCL cruise but liked the Carnival deal better. I think some of these free cabin offers are just sent randomly but being a big spender in the casino certainly helps.

Will board the STAR in just a few hours.

I just booked the parking and the only promo code that worked was web5.

Does anyone have a current valid promo code. I tried to make a reservation using a promo code that I used on last cruise but it came up as expired. Thanks.

I printed the luggage tags and the white background prints out as very dark black. Not sure that they will be able to see what we have written. Has anyone had this problem with the way the tags print. Not sure how to correct this problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
C3 Concierge cabins on Equinox Sept. 4th
in Celebrity Cruises

While checking prices on my Cat 2A I Saw that the price of a C3 was much lower than my 2A under the senior rate. The current price of the C3 is $2289.32. I am sure that many people have already booked the C3 at a much higher rate. So for anyone that booked the C3 with a senior rate now is your chance to request a price reduction before Celebrity increases the price. I was actually thinking about changing categories but I have a hump cabin and don't like the location of the remaining C3 cabins. I don't think this price applies to anyone that has selected any of the free perks.
