  1. First and foremost it depends on who you are going to cruise with. The difference between NCL and Cunard is dramatic. NCL has an optional dress up night where at one table you may see a lady dressed as you suggest and a man in a jacket and tie and at the next table they will all be wearing shorts and tee shirts. On Cunard in the Queens Grill you would be severly underdressed and are just as likely to see an Armani original as a gown off the shelf. On most of the main stream lines I have been on including Princess and Celebrity this is the mix I have seen:

    Ladies

    dress blouse and skirt

    business style pants suit

    cocktail dress

    formal gown

yes.. an Armani original with about 50k of diamonds

    Men

    jacket and open collar

    jacket and tie

    dark suit

    tux

    military mess dress

kilt and waist coat with all the traditional attachments

Let us know who you are cruising with and maybe some others can give you a better idea.

    well it definately fits that

  2. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. Gated secure parking lot. The couple whom worked in the Brkfst area (her) & Shuttle Driver (him) we awesome and great sense of humor (him).

Great Rates, Great Rms, Great Brkfst, and Great Shuttle service! ;)

It's that the one a mile from port

  3. i am booked on my first cruise in september and was surprised by the cost of airfare (lower than expected) my question is does the price go up as it gets closer or should i book as soon as possible

  4. Sure. As long as the snacks are pre-packaged. They're pretty strict about bringing on fresh food items like fruits and vegetables.

no just candy i'm picky and dont know if i can find onboard

  5. On most cruiselines, the shows are scheduled around the 2 traditional seating times. If you choose that, you will never have to worry about missing a show. If you choose a form of "anytime" dining, you will have to schedule YOUR dinner around whichever show you wish to see...the times will be listed in the daily newsletter. For example, main seating will see the show AFTER dinner, and late seating will see the show BEFORE dinner.

so basically its a personal preference thing

  6. What cruise line? Doing some reading on the board for the cruise line you are sailing on will provide tons of info.

i am undecided. it will either be carnival or royal caribbean but haven't found anything on either thread

  7. Assuming you got a US passport, the Department of State has been keeping up with the requests. They are more likely to fall a little behind late winter/spring when they get requests from people vacationing overseas.

makes sense we had to wait to get his birth certificate to get his now we have that

  8. I am assuming that the 2 1/2 day one is Bermuda.

I don't think one kind is better than the other but if you can provide more details on the two cruises (what ports are on each one) we can give you more feedback.

    Keith

your correct bermuda is the first and the second is bahamas (orlando, nassau and freeport)

  9. i am looking at choosing between two cruises one has three ports all less than 12 hours each and the other has one port that your docked for 2 1/2 days. just looking for personal opinions of which would be better for a first time cruiser

  10. In other words, which is the least expensive cruise line? Well...not sure you could universally say any one particular cruise line is least expensive, because sales vary, but Carnival and NCL will probably get a lot of votes.

Just remember, you get what you pay for.

actually no i mean as a whole like cost, rooms, excursions, extra stuff is one better on a budget than others or less suprises i guess

  11. I stayed there a few years ago with some college friends. We had no issues with the hotel and our car was fine parked in their secure gated lot. It was close enough to the Inner Harbor that we could walk to dinner or do something downtown and didn't have to pay $$$$ for parking.

If I didn't live so close to the port now, I'd consider it again.

    thank you
