cruising the end of april and looking for a park and cruise in a good area
-
Yes, Carnival is leaving Baltimore at the end of this year. They are coming back, however, in March of 2015. I am very excited that they are coming back. This is my favorite port to sail from!!
ok cause i was looking after march anyways...its the closest port to me and with 12 hour drive to baltimore i hate to drive farther
-
i was originally wanting to cruise out of baltimore but learned they are not after this year. well i was on carnival today and they are did something change that i missed?
-
i know alot of people recommend not paying off cruise but what are the benefits and how much do you save for final payment. i mean i'd like to have it mostly paid off now 6 months before final payment.
-
not sure if its matters much to you but we have spring break at that time so you may want to figure lots of kids into the equation or choose a cruise line that is less likely to have them...unless you want that
-
i am booked on my first cruise in september and was surprised by the cost of airfare (lower than expected) my question is does the price go up as it gets closer or should i book as soon as possible
-
Sure. As long as the snacks are pre-packaged. They're pretty strict about bringing on fresh food items like fruits and vegetables.
no just candy i'm picky and dont know if i can find onboard
-
can you bring stuff like candy or small snacks onboard
-
You get an upgrade for free. What's not to understand? Pay $X for A, get A+something else (better location, inside to OV, OV to balcony, etc., depending what the offer is).
lol ok what i'm wondering is do they automatically give you upgrade or call when available or sometimes not at all
-
noticed carnival is having a sale but on one of the cruises i'm watching price is same but they added free upgrades. wondering what the benefit is

On most cruiselines, the shows are scheduled around the 2 traditional seating times. If you choose that, you will never have to worry about missing a show. If you choose a form of "anytime" dining, you will have to schedule YOUR dinner around whichever show you wish to see...the times will be listed in the daily newsletter. For example, main seating will see the show AFTER dinner, and late seating will see the show BEFORE dinner.
so basically its a personal preference thing
-
What cruise line? Doing some reading on the board for the cruise line you are sailing on will provide tons of info.
i am undecided. it will either be carnival or royal caribbean but haven't found anything on either thread
-
since this will be my first cruise i am hoping to not miss out on shows is there a preferred dining time or would anytime dining be better...just looking or opinions

Assuming you got a US passport, the Department of State has been keeping up with the requests. They are more likely to fall a little behind late winter/spring when they get requests from people vacationing overseas.
makes sense we had to wait to get his birth certificate to get his now we have that

I am assuming that the 2 1/2 day one is Bermuda.
I don't think one kind is better than the other but if you can provide more details on the two cruises (what ports are on each one) we can give you more feedback.
Keith
your correct bermuda is the first and the second is bahamas (orlando, nassau and freeport)
-
got my first passport ever three weeks from the day i applied. just wondering is this normal since my husband still needs to get one
-
i am looking at choosing between two cruises one has three ports all less than 12 hours each and the other has one port that your docked for 2 1/2 days. just looking for personal opinions of which would be better for a first time cruiser
-
i think alot depends on the TA. i am from a smaller town and when we inquired with the only TA in town we were told they couldn't get us a better price or any extra's plus it would cost us 25.00 pp for them to book it for us.
-
In other words, which is the least expensive cruise line? Well...not sure you could universally say any one particular cruise line is least expensive, because sales vary, but Carnival and NCL will probably get a lot of votes.
Just remember, you get what you pay for.
actually no i mean as a whole like cost, rooms, excursions, extra stuff is one better on a budget than others or less suprises i guess
-
just looking for opinions but do you find one cruise line works better on a budget
-
if your cruise departs at 4:30 how early can you board since most hotels want you out by 11
-
I stayed there a few years ago with some college friends. We had no issues with the hotel and our car was fine parked in their secure gated lot. It was close enough to the Inner Harbor that we could walk to dinner or do something downtown and didn't have to pay $$$$ for parking.
If I didn't live so close to the port now, I'd consider it again.
thank you
