Several rides have this issue--another is Pirates of the Caribbean. At least they allowed us to use the fastpass line with the wheelchair on that one. Scooter must stay outside.
Scooter rental at WDW $55 per day and cannot leave park. 2014 outside company $34 per day less 10% discount or $189 per week less 10% and it goes anywhere. She couldn't have survived getting to and from the parks without it.
I believe mine was something like $89 for 4 days. It was fantastic. That would have been one miserable trip without it. The

Can you buy less than 100 MB other than paying as you go?
-
The 100 MB package is $39 I believe.

And I'm sorry' date=' but even if an attraction is accessible up to the point of boarding the ride, it is a major pain to control a wheelchair or scooter thru all those turns in the lines....especially when someone's little darling can't wait his turn and is climbing in front of you.[/quote']
This is so true. I injured my foot the day before a WDW trip a few years ago and had to have crutches. I had to have a wheelchair through the airports and we ended up renting a scooter from an outside company while at WDW.
For Space Mountain you have to use a provided wheelchair instead of a scooter through the line. There was no way I could have hopped up and down that line. My poor 10 year old daughter could not push me uphill at any reasonable pace. Luckily another guest took pity on us and pushed me uphill whenever necessary.

How many MB did you use, how much did this cost? I will have young adult kids at home that I would like to be able to keep in touch with, and was thinking facebook messenger was probably the easiest way. We do have stops in St. Thomas and San Juan so that helps.
I'm pretty sure that we had the 100 MB package. We were on a 5 day cruise and it lasted us the week. We didn't use it for anything else but Facetime. No Facebook, nothing. We started out just using voice calling and found that it used so little data that we tried video. I know we made one video call toward the end of our week that was at least 30 minutes long. We made video calls at least 3 days.
I would be worried that Facebook messenger might eat data because of how Facebook tracks everything you do. I would be afraid there was some unseen transference of information that ate my data.
With the package, you can see how much data was used every time you sign off and back on so you'll find out quickly.

Man, talk about a thread being hijacked!!!:p

We used FaceTime audio and video to chat with the parents who couldn't go on the cruise. This didn't require any phone service, only a wifi package from DCL. We put the phones in airplane mode and turned off all data. I highly recommend it.

I'm not sure what your expectations are
However
Nobody (even here in the US) is required to accept your insurance card as some sort of ability to pay.
Hospital ABC and /or Dr. Bob down the street accept your insurance and process your claim as a courtesy to you. They could all get together tomorrow and decide that you need to pay up front, then you can have the fun of filing and processing the claim for reimbursement just like travel insurance does.
On that note
Travel insurance does not pay your Dr. bill or hospital bill. Greater Hospital of Jamaica does not file or process a claim to your insurance provider. YOU pay the bill,,, then you file for reimbursement.
I know all this as I work on the financial side of things at a U.S. hospital. However, I also know that no U.S. hospital is going to keep you until you turn over money.
I bet Greater Jamaica Hospital doesn't offer to send you a bill and wave at you as you head back to the cruise ship like in the U.S. They are going to want you to pay by credit card or have money wired to them before you leave.

Another issue I read on this forum was the story of a man who had a major stroke during the tail end of a WBTA. He ended up in a Caribbean hospital I believe. His wife was held hostage in a broom closet by a doctor who wanted his payment before he agreed to have her husband transported back to the states. You are not dealing with US medical facilities where you can walk in and out without handing over a dime (trust me, I work at one). (These people had insurance - just illustrating the different climate in healthcare.)
Another woman on a cruise alone in Europe had a stroke and her travel insurance company had someone accompany her back to the states. I don't know what would have happened if she hadn't had travel insurance.
Those are other reasons to use a company that has been vetted rather than the cheapest deal you can find.

If you have your own healthcare policy at home, check with them. We were surprised to find out we were covered on the boat and in Bermuda. We did buy a policy from tripinsurancestore.com also. We are also sailing in July.
FYI, I was told my health insurance would cover me outside the U.S. IF I could find someone to accept it. That was enough to scare me away from depending on it.
-
Well, the thing about insurance is that there's not a lot to say about your experience with it if you don't have to use it.
I can tell you that all the choices on another insurance website are mind boggling and you could spend days trying to distinguish the differences between them.
People who had claims satisfactorily settled rarely post. It's the unhappy people with issues who post and hence we only hear the bad and complicated cases which isn't fair to the insurance companies.
As far as my choice, I made sure my policy for my upcoming trip, TravelSafe Classic had generous medical coverage and evacuation coverage. Hopefully, I'll have nothing further to report on it.

Isn't Bonnet Creek the one where you have to sit through a time share presentation to get your parking pass?
Bonnet Creek is actually an area with multiple establishments. The one you are thinking of is Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort. We stayed there once (rented from an owner). It was great! If I wanted a kitchen, it's about the only way to afford it. We drove to the parks which was a little bit of a pain and costly at $14 (now $17) a day.
Give me a choice (with money no object, trip of 4 days or so) and I'm staying at the Polynesian.
-
I just checked early June for a few nights at Orlando. Hilton Bonnet Creek is $160/night. Disney's Polynesian Village is $600/night for the same period. Help me to understand also.
Hilton Bonnet Creek: can't see the Magic Kingdom from there. No fireworks or electric water parade. No monorail over. Limited shuttle service to parks (I would assume) compared to Disney Resorts' bus line.
Depends on what you want. Maybe worth it to you, maybe not.

Yoo hoo! What are the cards good for in relation to cruising?
-
Go to trip insurance store dot com and talk to someone there about your needs. They have a great reputation here for recommending the right policy.
-
If something happens to your in-laws while cruising and they need to return home, I doubt your going to continue with the cruise. You need insurance as well for that reason as much as any other.

Disney didn't have many food options outside of meal times. Their lunch hours were way too short, and if you miss it you're only option is basically burgers, fries, pizza or a limited room service menu. We're just not much on junk food like that and it became tiresome after a few days.
There are cold sandwiches, wraps and salads as well as fruit plates around the corner from the "junk food". The room service was quite good as well.

We had a toddler and a baby next door to us on the Wonder and I never heard them. If I hadn't seen the family leaving the cabin, I wouldn't have had any idea it was even occupied.

Although she will get in for free, it will cost a lot for the rest of you. Add to that the need for very low expectations for the day due to crowds and heat, and I believe I'd skip it. That comes from someone who loves some Mickey Mouse.

I think by not giving your child some freedom at 13, you are saying to him that he is not capable of making a safe decision. I think his is a perfect opportunity to let him try his wings.
-
I'm interested in this too. Hopefully, it will get some traffic over the weekend.
-
Neil Patrick Harris took his toddler twins on DCL.
-
I'm sure that will be fine. You'll find the MDR are not quiet, refined spaces. Just due to the number of people, there is always a noise level and due to the number of children in general, a child playing quietly on an electronic will go unremarked upon.

If you're looking at insuring a 24 day trip, I don't think it sounds high. Keep in mind you'll want to buy insurance within about 2 weeks of making your initial deposit on the trip for the best coverage.
Anyone used Facetime Audio or Sprint/T-Mobile WiFi Calling with the NEW Internet?
in Carnival Cruise Lines

I am also interested. I used FaceTime audio and video with no delay at all on a DCL ship a year ago and we're about cruise on the Breeze.
