  1. Hi

You received an offer that has limitations. It says it is for new bookings only. So even if you weren't past final payment, you wouldn't be allowed cancel and rebook at a lower price.

You initially booked because you had an offer that suited you. You didn't know at the time that you would get a better offer later. If you could foretell the future you would be able to get more than just a casino offer. It would seem that your only option would be to book a different cruise, before the time you say you can't travel.

We have had posters that said they had free cruise offers that they were not able to take because of schedules. It's a tough problem to have. I wouldn't sweat it too much, you will likely have other offers in the future. So you missed one. :)

Thanks for the post. We will see what our friends have to say as well. I wondered if anyone had been in a similar position before and what the result was. My 11 7+ day cruises and have shown me that Carnival is great at what they do, customer service. They accommodate all sorts of guests and situations. Not asking for anything crazy here, just to see what could be done in a particular situation.

  2. Just got off the Freedom yesterday and observed the following when walking/driving through the flooded streets.

    - We parked at EZ cruise and they had no flooding

    - When parking park at the highest area of the parking lot...We did not see rain all week but Galveston did

    - Bring a small umbrella in a carry on if you are doing the park and walk option

    - Look into flooding or travel insurance. It could save you in a dangerous situation

  3. First, let me start by stating that my wife and I have a Premier cruise booked November 17th on the Deam. We paid full price for the cruise (the couple that did not have an offer and paid the same rate), but we know the perks we will get on board.

Second, I just got off the Freedom yesterday and received a Casino Offer. The offer has interiors beginning at $100 pp. The Nov 17th cruise we have booked looks to be about $750 cheaper. The offer is suppose to be valid for new bookings and I am 48 days away from cruising so that complicates the canceling of the cruise and booking the cheaper rate.

Any suggestions how what I can do to see if Carnival will honor the cheaper rate? My wife is a teacher and pregnant so we cannot go after Thanksgiving as she will be beyond 26 weeks. This is our last cruise for awhile!

  4. We received almost more money in gift card then what we need. Can I go to the casino day one, add money to my player bank, play or not play, and go cash it out at the cashier? I ask because we can use this money for tipping and excursion rather than taking money out of the bank.

Let me know if this is doable!

  5. You still go regular security line, but you are just expedited to the ship because your boarding pass will have PRIORITY in red letters near the top. Just show that and you go to the head of the line. Have fun.

Once on the ship, you will have a bag waiting for both of you with Premier lanyards and Drink passes for the casino. Other than that, and the gifts you will receive, you will look like normal passengers.

We are traveling with anouther couple. Can they board Priority with me?

  6. We are going on our first Premier casino cruise in November. One of the perks of the premier cruise is priority boarding. Can someone tell me if Premier cruisers still go through the regular security line? Also what would indicate that you were premiere? I’m assuming your boarding pass.

  7. I have had a similar situation before where a cruise I booked changes to a premier cruise even though I did not book under the Premier promo. I call my PVP and she gets me changed to the casino package. Be aware, that depending on the promo that you originally booked, you could pay more for the fare or owe more in deposit and you may lose any OBC that was part of any promo you booked under. Also, this will only work if the premier slots are not all booked already, but I would certainly call and see if it can be done.

We cannot give out names of PVP's, but if you would like, I could email you my girls info. She is awesome at Casino bookings. Let me know!

  8. Needing some help...in late May I was offered several options of Premier and Ultra Cruises. My wife is a teacher and we are very limited on when we can go. I did not act on any of the offers but did book a New Year’s cruise last week that was not part of an Primier or Ultra offer. Well long story short, we are pregnant and my wife will be too far along to go in New Year’s so we have switched to Nov. 17 on the Dream which is a Premier/Ultra Cruise. I’m kinda bummed because have had all kinds of free goodies, money, drinks. Do I have any change of getting those perks? Anyone have a contact with the casino that they could share?

  9. My wife and I are Platinum and cruise only with Carnival. She is a teacher which limits when she can cruise. I have been offered a Premier Getaway and looking to use it for a 4 day on the Fantasy. Here are my questions:

I will have 4 people in my cabin (I have confirmed that is possible to do) but they are adults. My mother and sister have never cruised and I would love to treat them to a very reasonably priced cruise.

What is a four person room setup on the fastay? Who all will receive the Premier Getaway benefits? Who all drinks free in the casino? Do we all have Premier check-in?

  10. After 10 cruises, I got the call. I knew when I answered the phone is was the woman of my dreams...the upgrade fairy. I told her I’ve been waiting a long, long time for her. She wispered sweet words in my hear. Words like upgrade, special offer, low price, all made me excited. Then reality hit. Spa interior to a Spa balcony for $642 for 2 people.

    I was heartbroken.

  11. Hey guys,

We are riding with friends down for our upcoming cruise in March and looking to fly home. We have FTTF so we will get off the ship first. We have sailed out of Galveston so we are familiar with the port, city, etc. My question is is UBER expensive to take to an airport upon arrival? I know when demand rises they can raise their price. Also, what is a safe time to book a flight? Lastly, which airport is closest? I have never paid attention. I know you pass one driving EAST out of Houston.

  12. Your offer sounds great. I have no idea what criteria they use for these offers. My hubby usually runs about $1500 of his money in slots not counting the wins that he recycles and I spend about $2000- $2500 not counting winning money at the tables and we have never gotten a bounce back offer. We cruise with Carnival at least once every 12 months, sometimes more often. Only casino offers we get are for some free ply which is usually $50 each. I have heard from a few people that they get much better offers from NCL and that is starting to sway us into jumping ship so to speak. We can get a comparable cabin for about $100 more per person but we will get free drinks the entire cruise and the extra dining package. Its worth it to try it at least once.

We rented a golf cart in KW and drove all over the place. We got a map and hit the road. Its been years since we ported at Freeport but I think there is not much at the port. We took a cab to Port Lucaya and used the beach there and shopped. In Nassau once we swam with the dolphins, shopped and went to the casino at Atlantis. Theres a beach within walking distance of the ships. Make a right after you go thru the buildings and leave the port area at Nassau. Good luck. I love impromptu trips. Sometimes they are the best.

Thanks for the advice. We are looking to keep it cheap! We have been to Atlantis before and really just wanted to find a nice beach and relax.

  13. Before I begin, this is not a thread for those to comment on how there are not really "free cruises". I am an average or below average spender, only playing minimum $5 bets on craps. I bring about $600 to lose each cruise. My DW and I have been the recipients of Bounce Back offers several times over the years, but this one was a little different. I received the email Friday and immediately called to inquire. The offer stated that the cruise had to be booked by July 14th and sailed before November 5th. My wife is a teacher so that meant it had to be this month. I was shocked and astonished on the number of cruises that were included on this Bounce Back. I was shocked to even receive a Bounce Back. We last cruised in March. I did received a discounted rate offer the last night but not the free interior. Almost each and every sailing in every port. We cruise out of New Orleans and Galveston. There are not usually many of those sailing available. In the end, we book a free interior July 30th and paid $196 in taxes and port fees. We leave in 22 days. Short notice! I usually like to book in advance. Half of the fun for me is the research and planning!! With that said, both dining times are waitlisted, no FTTF, and I am at a lost for excursions. We are gong to Freeport, Nassau, and Key West.

I share this so that you may check your emails and know that at any time, you can get an offer such as this.

Any advise on how to plan with so short of time. We need a place to stay and hotels are crazy expensive. I better get to work.
