  1. We are not familiar with Seattle area- so looking for any/all info you all may have. Flying into Seattle Sep 12 for cruise on Carnival Spirit on Sep 13. We are looking for any advice regarding how to get from airport to hotel...and then to cruise port on the 13th. We ideally would like hotel in an area that is very "budget friendly" but close enough to Pikes Place for a Monday afternoon/evening visit before our cruise on the 13th! We have looked at Moore Hotel as an option.....thoughts? Thanks!!

Our Walgreens here in Springfield get pretty backed up for rX fills, etc.  I would definitely make an appointment.

We will definitely make appt for as early in the day as we can. May try CVS too. Thank you for responding.....hoping we can get this testing bit done in Springfield in a timely manner so we can continue on to New Orleans! As a back-up, are there other testing sites in Springfield?

  3. SPRINGFIELD MISSOURI CRUISERS !! We will be driving to New Orleans for cruise on Saturday, January 15th, and are planning on getting as far as Springfield on Wednesday evening. Our plan is to be tested Thursday morning in Springfield before we continue on to New Orleans. Yes, there are several CVS and Walgreens in town- does anyone have any info on any of these places for testing - good or bad? Or a suggestion of other places in town to test? It's stressing me out...lol!!

  4. Does anyone know how many people test positive in the 2 days before a cruise and actually have to cancel? I've searched for some numbers to no avail. I understand the testing protocol set up by cruiselines - and for many it may give you a sense of peace- but in all reality, a test taken 2 days before (or even day of) probably doesn't matter because you could pick

up Covid anytime in the 2 days before boarding OR Covid may just not show up in test at the port. I'm just curious about the numbers - we have 2 cruises planned, have had Pfizer shots + booster,  and will get tested - BECAUSE WE LOVE CRUISING!!

How does tipping work at an all-inclusive place like Del Mar? Do you tip every time you get a new food or drink item or do you tip at the end of the day?

Please share your experience at the Del-Mar! Since it's all-inclusive, can you order several food items? Were the food/drinks good? How did you tip...per drink or at end of your day? We are thinking this may be a fun inexpensive day in Cozumel!! Thanks!!

  6. We plan on using the home tests for upcoming cruise in January ....however, will wait a month to order so the expiration date is not an issue.  My question.....since we will be driving to Port and leaving EARLY THURSDAY morning for Saturday departure,  can I get a proctor at like 1 a.m. on Thursday morning? Will that time frame be okay - once again is it 2 days or 48 hours....looking for any input!! Thanks!!

  7. We have cruise March 27 (Vista out of Galveston) and here we are 90 days out, and not sure IF we will be cruising and WHAT new restrictions will be.  All sorts of rumors about mask wearing, only cruise sponsored shore excursions allowed, Covid tests, age requirements, health issues,  etc., are going around.  I'm hoping that Carnival will post their restrictions SOON so we can make a decision (without penalty) about our upcoming cruise - will restrictions be too much for us and will we be allowed to cancel or postpone without penalties?  We rebooked at a great rate and currently have $1200 OBC - hate to give that up, too!!

At this time, we don't know if we should count on a cruise or plan something different for a spring vacation!!

    Thanks for any input!

  8. I live in rural Minnesota and somewhat frustrated! Our Governor is having a hard time realizing that  out here in the rural area, we do not have the same situation as Minneapolis has!  Our "Stay at Home" order was lifted today - however, we still have a "Safer at Home" order in place - bars and restaurants still closed til June 1 and only allowed to do take out!  Beauty salons still closed as well as small businesses.  Our rural communities are hurting - and we have very few cases (2) in our area - yet our Governor feels we all need to be on lockdown.  Schools (whether they are graduating 10 or 500) are not allowed to have any type of ceremony or graduation party at their homes (not even on our huge athletic field with social distancing)! I am certainly aware of how devastating this Covid is, but I am an adult and I do social distance and wear a face mask when I go out!  Really looking forward to our cruise next March!

  9. We sail April 4.......husband Diabetic....so I know we will be denied boarding. DOES THE FCC AND 600.00 OBC apply to that sailing too.....or just the March 13 to 16th sailings (I saw those dates in John Healds letter here.....havent gotten anything from Carnival),,,,,,,,thinking that may be a better deal than waiting to see if Carnival cancels and only get 25%? Thoughts appreciated!!

  10. We booked a casino rate (not sure of exact name) and received $500 OBC and DOU card for casino.  I am wondering if BOTH my husband and I will receive the DOU card or will it be just me as it is my VIFP casino offer.  We usually gamble together and use just my card - hence, it is me getting the casino offers.  Also, with the $500 OBC, can we use it to for gambling money in the casino??  Thanks for any info!!
