  1. I've heard mixed things on if VV will let you just sit at the terminal prior to your boarding time. I'm stuck with a 230 boarding time. I'll be in a hotel the night before and likely have a noon checkout. I am MORE than content to relax with a book for an hour (or more!) but wasn't sure this would be ok? I'd rather be at the port so I'm not stressing, just like you said. Or, I'm even happy to sit in my car. Anyway, just wondering what your "waiting around port" experience was like. Thank you!
  2. It actually sounds like that excursion might not have been too bad...I've just had historically bad experiences on organized snorkeling tours. Did you enjoy it? Feel like it was worth it for the cost? What was the group size like? thank you!
  3. Hi All, Travelling to Bimini in a few weeks. Is there any decent snorkeling from the Beach Club area? I've seen the shipwreck excursion, but I'm not interested in that one. (organized group snorkeling isn't for me...I don't like getting kicked by other people's flippers, needing to wear a life vest, and being limited on time---just a personal opinion, nothing wrong with it for others) Debating if it is worth it to bring my snorkel/mask on the cruise. Thanks!
  4. Hi All, Travelling to Bimini on Virgin in a few weeks. Is there any decent snorkeling from their private beach area? I've seen the shipwreck excursion, but I'm not interested in that one. (organized group snorkeling isn't for me...I don't like getting kicked by other people's flippers, needing to wear a life vest, and being limited on time---just a personal opinion, nothing wrong with it for others) Debating if it is worth it to bring my snorkel/mask on the cruise. thanks! 5. Hi Cruisers! I'm travelling solo on a Virgin cruise at the end of March. I really want to see El Yunque, but I'm not having much luck with the tours that I have found. We are in port from 12-10pm and I'm wondering about just renting a car and going on my own. I've read mixed things about driving in San Juan and the ease/cost/safety of obtaining a rental. I'm a regular traveler, used to being solo, but that said, I always want to make informed decisions. Any insights would be most appreciated. Thank you all! Toni
