Welcome and congrats on your terrific success. Hope you can keep checking in and stay on track with your goals..What have you done to lose your 15lbs so quickly? Take care RobHi guys! I'm new to this thread, but I've lost 15 lbs in 5 weeks! I have a 14 night on Oct 23 and want to be at least 40 lbs down by then. My stretch goal is 51! Hi all, another week of brutal hot and humid temps at work here in CT...Am down another 1lb, didn't get to the gym much but got lots of exercise with the grands in the pool.. Congrats to everyone who not only lost but those who continue to try and make an effort to eat healthier.

Hey Mike the idea behind it is if you stay on one pace at a set incline you can get bored or complacent.. If your trying to lose weight it s better to alter your incline and sppeds every few minutes, most newer treadmills will have a setting like this. I go to PF...(judgement free zone).. Before you do anything too stressful just be careful and don't overdo it.. Rob..

I took pictures of a couple of them. I'll try to post them later today. :)
Thanks also looking for them

Thanks Diana. It's probably time to change things up I guess. My weight loss seems to have leveled out and it's rather depressing. I've always been of a mindset that it's better to go for a longer period of time at less intensity than to really push myself for less time. Maybe I'll do a little more experimenting! Thanks for your input. [emoji846]

We were on Grandeur out of Baltimore a few weeks ago...For me its about the destination and no faster way to the Caribbean than flying..
-
mdaviswv, we have never actually sailed from Manhattan.. We have sailed from Bayonne NJ onboard Explorer of the Seas, and Miami and Tampa and several times San Juan.. We have a cruise scheduled fro NYC but not until Nov2018 for my DM's 85th bday..We do prefer to fly from Ny and JFK...

Hey Belle and everyone. Didn't get to the gym but got lots of time playing in the pool with my granddaughter. Went to Manhattan last night with my wife for a concert and we stopped at a Vietnamese restaurant for some really good noodle bowls. I figure with all the veggies and hot sauce and garlic It can't be bad... Really hot and humid here in CT and expecting more of the same for the next few days.. As always will be drinking lots of water and watching my carbs...Take care all Rob

So if you rent chairs and an umbrella, they will carry them to the adjacent beach that is a bit less crowded? Or at least we can carry them ourselves?
We don't need to be right on top of the facilities but like the idea of having some sort of access to them. And I am also one that has no desire to sit on a towel and my red-head hubby needs that umbrella!
Yes they will carry the chairs and umbrella to the far end of the beach, not an adjacent beach.. It cost us 90$ for 4 chairs and two umbrellas last month..

Good morning Belle , another good week am down and back to my pre cruise weight...Good job Missy1122 Hopefully you can continue and come back each week.... Rob

If it matters to you the restless native was is about half the size and also half the people onboard. The owners and crew were friendly, baked cookies and were able to anchor in closer to shore in the cove where we stopped.

I finished two books during this 5 day cruise and as soon as I came home order some Stephen king books.Mr. Mercedes will be my first for my next cruise..Love the solarium on Grandeur for reading...
-
If you go to the cove area to the right, It's less crowded, with milder surf.
I wonder how crowded it will be now, due to the recent influx of Portuguese Men O' War? I do hope that they'll be gone soon.
We were on the Grandeur of the seas and at Horseshoe bay on the 26th of June the signs were out but only spotted two all day. And even with the Norweigan Dawn in port and the finals of the America's Cup it was not crowded.. You don'thave to sit with the crowd, when you rent chairs and an umbrella they will put them where you want to sit or lay...

We were just on the restless native last week and had a great time. The only used the sail on the way back and also the rising sun catamaran pulled up and close to where we anchored. I believe they only used the sail on the return trip as well.

Belle I cut down on my carbs, potatoes and bread and very limited white rice (which is on our table almost every day along with black beans my wife is Brazilian) and also drank a lot of water and was back in the gym on the treadmill.... and lots of work around the house and pool... easy...Aratski good luck with your move, love the Denver area spent over a year there in school at Lowery AFB back in the 80's. rob

Happy Friday everyone, see some great results from all of you.. I am UP 7lbs..from last week after our cruise and going out to eat pre cruise and then again last night post cruise... I walked and even went to the fitness center and still gained more than I thought.. Oh well enjoyed every minute and dessert and frappacino and of course the self serve ice cream... Bermuda was just as beautiful as ever. Going to get back to it as we sail again in 3 months time... Take care and have a wonderful weekend Rob

Hi everyone, I am up only 1lb this morning which I consider a good outcome. Had a graduation and then pizza at work. Too busy to get to the gym as I drive down to Baltimore after work to Get on the Grandeur of the Seas and off to Bermuda... Took to of the kids out to friendly's last night after after had a banana split, was soooo good no guilt here...Will weigh in next week after the cruise and hopefully have gained only a few lbs. Gonna walk and drink lots of water and hit the fitness center too. Even have a race planned with my 17yo granddaughter on the rock climbing wall Take care Rob

Sounds like a good and sensible plan. Drink the water now save the alcohol for your cruise... It will be worth it...
