  1. Is there any benefit to booking a Next Cruise? I'm going on a cruise in April and also plan on doing a cruise in August, but haven't booked the latter yet. Don't know if I should wait to do it onboard.
  2. I would love to visit Greece. I think you'll have a good time nonetheless.
  3. You sign up via shore excursions. For my cruise they also have a Hop On, Hop off Miami City Tour, and Best of Miami Photo and Selfie Tour.
  4. I am taking an excursion after the cruise so I don't need one to the airport. It would be to the port. I think I'll just get a taxi.
  5. How do you find out about the RCI transfer? I read taxis are $27 to the Miami port from the Miami airport.
  6. I sailed on Enchantment in August. It was nice, but not a lot of frills. I did think the headliner entertainment was not as good as past cruises. They had one comedian do two nights. He wasn't that funny so he shouldn't have been booked for one night, let alone two. There was another entertainer, but I had a shore excursion so didn't go. I was disappointed that they didn't have him on a cruising day (like the night before). Then they had the RC singers and dancers. I don't know if it is because post-Covid it's hard to find/pay entertainers or what the issue is, but I was really disappointed in the headliner entertainment in the theater. I think that's what they call it. I enjoyed the cruise. I have never been on Carnival and have no plans to every sail on Carnival so I can't compare and contrast for you.
  7. Watch "Mighty Cruise Ships" on Smithsonian channel. I think the episodes are a few years old, but they are available on the channel and cable On Demand. They did a Celebrity ship and Oasis, I believe (among other lines). They do show you the engine room, bridge, and other places. No, it's not the same as seeing it live, but it's free! I have seen several and enjoy them.
  8. Maybe it's not on all ships. I happened to see it yesterday when I was looking at some things.
  9. Use a hair straightener. 🤪 Just kidding.
  10. Onboard Activities You can book before the cruise.
  11. It's $119 on Explorer. I guess not as much to Access.
  12. Entertainment was definitely not as good on my last cruise (August 22). I hope it is better on my next cruise.
  13. I've got that one too. I have it hanging on my bedroom door.
  14. Scheduled to sail on Explorer in April so I hope she's ready!
  15. I would double check the beach will be open.
  16. April 1 Explorer of the Seas Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao
  17. When I went on a cruise from Miami, the porter was very aggressive about a tip. I didn't understand I had to tip. Or should tip. And I didn't. When I got in the terminal I asked the lady if I was to leave my luggage with the people outside. She said yes. I was very concerned my luggage wouldn't make it to my room. It was a very confusing situation and crowded and I was totally unaware that I was supposed to tip and I didn't like the aggressiveness of the porter.
  18. Is there generally someone at the port able to staple or tape luggage tags. I'll be flying and won't put on luggage tags until I get to port. Wondering if I have to pack tape. Thanks.
  19. Do you want to allow your wife to use the onboard credits or do you want them just for yourself? That's shared vs. individual. I think you're cutting it close with the week. You can always pay your bill earlier if that's the issue. It should be enough time, but it's best to avoid unnecessary stress.
  20. Have you done this excursion before? My cruise is in April. Maybe there will be more things to see at that time.
  21. I am considering booking this excursion. Has anyone done it? Embark on an exhilarating guided airboat ride through Miami’s remote “River of Grass” before being conveniently escorted to the airport for your flight. Skim across the brown waters of the Everglades, an expansive network of sawgrass marshes and tropical wetlands, where you might spot wading birds, fish and sunning American alligators during your journey. Spend a dynamic day exploring one of America’s largest national parks before you are transferred to the airport for your flight.
