  1. OMG. If allowing sky suite passengers into MC is going to turn your cruise into a vacation from hell, I am sorry. I am reading these posts and am feeling like an outcast since we are lowly sky suite people.

Maybe Celebrity Suites should get better amenities than Sky Suites, but the rooms are significantly larger (300 vs 390.) Did you really only book the suite so you could use MC and avoid contact with the riff raff?

Celebrity wants to keep their Suite passengers happy, they are after all Celebrity's sweet spot. How about seeing how it plays out? If Celebrity really wants to be in that niche between standard cruise lines and luxury lines, they are going to need to play to the upper level suites.

  2. Looking at the floor plan (and remembering the size of the Sky Suite bathroom, i don't see how it can be smaller.

When we were younger we took a Tall ship cruise. Now that was a small bathroom! No tub and the shower was over the toilet. No Michaels Club, just the crew picking up their instruments or piped in music.

Celebrity has never done us wrong. If you feel they are taking the wrong path, tell them. They can't keep competitive if they anger some of their top paying guests.

  3. First, I am an Internet junkie, BUT, I'm not sure I like this movement. One reason we love cruising is that you are offline. Work can't call you, family can't interrupt your alone time, you can get your spouse off of Facebook.

Do we really need this? (Note: I'm looking at options for getting the package.)

  4. I'm glad to see this thread is getting less negative. I was starting to feel that being a person who only booked a sky suite, I was less than a second class citizen.

Tell you what, I will only use Michael's when it is almost empty, I promise never to burden the Concierge. And if I encounter a Celebrity Suite class person, I will throw rose petals at their feet.[emoji57]

  5. Are the only ones with the shower panels the old Aqua suites? I've enjoyed the Persian gardens. Seems kinda silly that is only a perk with the Aqua staterooms.

  6. We are booked next year on the Reflections. My DH asked about the Aqua suites. We have done both Aqua class and suites. The combo sounded good. But I cannot find any Aqua suites on any of the cruises we were looking to do. Is it still offered and is there much of a difference in price between sky and Aqua suites?

  7. Thank you everyone for your response. I really enjoy spending time meeting new friends over dinner, but the Normandie does sound like a 'must not miss.'

Should I be apologizing for treating DH and myself to a suite? Or should I be apologizing for taking advantage of the perks that Celebrity offers for spending $$ over a basic cabin?

  8. Well I am one of those suite people. Can anyone here tell me about the specialty dinner perk. I've read that suite passengers were invited to dine at one of the specialty restaurants the first night. Does that count as the perk night?

If this doesn't count, is there a way to book a reservation for the free night before the cruise?
