  1. Keep pushing for them to listen to the call and ask for spa passes. I had a situation once, with a health insurance co, where they told me something, didn't do it, and then told me I must be mistaken no one in their company would have promised me, etc. then they listened to the call, and Li and behold, realized I was right and not lying about it, and made it right

  2. My issue is that I can sail in 2 balcony cabins (me and 3 kids, 2 people in each cabin, hubby does not like to cruise) for less than half of 1 cabin for 4 on dcl. It was a no brainier, we were in the ncl getaway, which had a ton of stuff for kids, and we got 2 balconies, 2 tvs, and 2 bathrooms. Dcl won't allow kids in their own cabin, even if next door, so it's hard for me to see the worth

  3. Where do you find the no frills pricing? As someone who travels with 3 kids and who doesn't drink and would pay a la carte for things, I would love to see the difference.

Also not understanding your argument, if it's no frills pricing, then the fact that there are no perks makes sense. A perk is a frill, right?

  4. I have 3 kids and always worry about others in those kind of situations, would not have brought my kids when they were 2. Does anyone think it would be rude to approach the family directly, and politely ask them to quiet the child or take control? There would have been a good use of a movie on an iPad with headphones, if they insisted on dining with him or her. I think I would have said something to them

  5. Yes, I think it's typical. I did the same, my kids, like yours, are rule followers and polite, I had zero issues having them do things on their own. My son, in particular, enjoyed the sports deck, mini golf, and ropes, and buffet on his own at different points. My daughters would also do things on their own at certain points, it was not a problem

And to answer the person above, cake decorating and the arcade were extra charges, but the movies, etc were not. There are plenty of included activities to keep everyone busy

  6. It's not great, what we did is find chairs further back and then I would sit at the edge of the pool when they were in. My kids were a little older, though, so they could swim on their own without constant supervision And we are not hang out at the pool all day types, so we weren't bothered by it

  7. I was on in 2014, with my 3 kids (13, 10, and 8). They were in 3 different clubs, they all went the first night and never went back. But that was my kids, so don't let that dissuade you. They do put those 2 ages groups together, but not sure how often. My 8 year old was in the younger group, was not allowed to move up, and didn't like it. However, there is a ton of stuff to do m, even w/o the clubs. And I was there as a family vacation (well without hubby, he couldn't get away) so was not looking for no kid time. However, I got comfortable with my 13 or 10 year old going alone or with my 8 year old to an activity (the ropes course, mini golf, etc) and then meeting back up. There were movies, bingo, cake decorating, dance classes, music, etc. the kids were allowed everywhere, we did the early, family friendly comedy and howl at the moon shows. They also enjoyed the sports court, we didn't even get everything done that we planned on. I am sure untouched will have a great time!

  8. We did snorkel with capstan nautica through ncl in the am and then walked over to the gondola on our own and went up and had lunch and then walked back to the ship. Captain nautica was great, yes it was through the ship, but they were fantastic. In Nassau we went to Blue lagoon, which I highly recommend. My kids were 13, 10, and 8 and we loved it!

  9. I always opt for 2 rooms, hopefully adjoining, I think it seems bigger, I like having 2 tvs, 2 bathrooms, etc and it is less expensive than a suite. And for us, it's more important than the suite perks. It was also super helpful in the one cruise when my son was sick for one day, we could really isolate him from the other 2, without a problem

  10. We had a similar experience to packer99, none of my 3; 8, 10, 13, liked the clubs but found plenty to do on the ship. They participated in ship activities and would go to the sports deck, ping pong, ropes course, mini golf, etc. He would meet other kids doing that stuff on his own time, I was not concerned about adult time, etc so it wasn't a big deal to me we all had a great time

  11. I think that's awful, I don't blame you. 30 percent doesn't sound good to me, this was not normal, typical doing noise due to cleaning or equipment being moved. I am not sure what can be done, but it's not like a hotel where you can leave, find another and dispute with the original. And it's not 1/3 of the time, if your sleep is disrupted, so is the rest of your day. I also am not a night owl, and would spend time before bed, reading or watching tv. This does not sound relaxing, I would be upset too

  12. My kids 8, 10, and 13 at the time dos not like the kids clubs. They went for an hour on the first night and did not go back. However do not let this worry you, as lots of kids seem to love them, and my kids still had plenty to do without participating in the club activities

  13. I agree with self booking, we just took a land trip to Hawaii and wanted to upgrade hotel rooms, etc and it was a nightmare since we had used a travel agent, where if we hadn't it would have been simple and less time consuming, she did not get us anything extra or better rates, etc and booked things, initially until we caught it, in her name so we didn't get Hilton honors pts, never again!
