  1. When I went back to Carnival site to add FTTF, it is no longer showing AT ALL as a Port Canaveral excursion option. It used to at least say SOLD OUT. In fact, NO Port Orlando Excursions are now showing on sailing day from Port Orlando for Sunshine May 29th. Something is odd.

Happened to my June 6th Sunshine sailing, too.

  2. They can only do upgrades to so many ships at once :)

As you've seen, it's a fairly slow rollout. Also, they need space (Paradise)! Victory definitely deserves it, that would be.....Victorious.

Paradise does have space for some of the upgrades. It can get the typical burger bar in the lido replaced with Guy's, and add the two alcohol huts next to the pool. I'll analyze the deck plans later, and maybe edit it. ;)

  3. Yeah :) On the Liberty in August and it was amazing. However, it seems thanks to the limited space on the Spirit class and the different type itineraries associated with different types of cruisers (notice how all of the ships getting Guy's, Blue Iguana, Pool Movie Screen, etc. don't go to California, Alaska, Canada, etc. they're basically all Eastern/Western/Southern Caribbean!).

I think the "clientele" on the Spirit sailings are different enough that they are cautious. Notice how the Pride got all of these and it's now sailing the Caribbean haha. I think once that goes well, it should seep into the other Spirit class ships over time. Apparently the Spirit is next in August?

Idk, I'm just a passenger haha

If it was on ships sailing the Caribbean, the Victory would have it! So would the Paradise.

  4. I heard a rumor a few months ago that Costa was designing a prototype about that size so I guess it was a valid rumor. With Royal Caribbeans quick movement into China with new tonnage I expect one if not both of the prototypes to go right to China, or perhaps one of the prototypes and the new Costa Diadema.

I'm sure Carnival Cruise Lines will get two or three new builds for themselves, in anticipation for Virgin cruises and the MSC seaside both coming stateside in a couple of years. Probably one or two of the Fantasy class will be retired in the next 4 years, too.

Here's a sneak peak at what the Virgin twins may look like: http://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/12370-virgin-cruises-ship-renderings-and-details-shown-in-lawsuit-filings.html

I absolutely hate those Virgin ships...

  5. The XT will be a great starter camera that you will be able to grow with since it is compatible with all of Canon's great lenses (and all of the third party ones as well). A lot of people suggest getting the best lenses you can afford before upgrading the body since you will be able to carry those lenses with you (provided you stay with Canon...welcome to the dark side :) ).

Thanks for the advice! But I think the XT uses a custom SD/ flash card? Or are those two separate? Anybody know the biggest SD card you can get with it?

  6. Hello,

I've got a quick question on the Sunshine's YTD system. If I call ahead earlier in the day for our dinner time, do I still have to go to the Taste bar to check in? We have someone with a wheelchair and going from the Taste bar to the dining room is going to be a major difficulty.

    Thanks,

    Futurz

  7. Hello CC,

The point of making this topic is to ask why Carnival is so inconsistent with putting their popular 2.0 upgrades (Such as Blue Iguana, and Guy's) on ships that are scheduled for a "2.0" upgrade? Such as the Miracle and the Victory. If Carnival knows these are some of their most popular things, why aren't they putting them on? Instead, they are adding things that don't make that big of a difference, IMO.

    Thanks,

    Futurz
