  1. 4 out of my 5 Carnival cruises have been on Fantasy class ships, most recently the Paradise. What brings me back is the less amount of people, so the crew can bond more with you, the shorter getaways, and the atrium. On newer ships you do get an atrium, but it does not ascend up to a humongous, beautiful skylight, as on the Fantasy class. But, the Spirit class does still have a nice skylight.

  2. Hi Cruise Critic!

I've got a question. My family is planning on cruising a Carnival ship (Most likely the Liberty, Breeze, Sunshine or Valor) and I am planning on introducing a concept to them so we could keep in touch as a family. If I were to buy a Motorola Two-Way Radio, would I be able to keep in touch with my family if they were, let's say at the Serenity and I was at the aft pool?

TL;DR: I want to know if I can talk to people on a Two-Way radio if I'm at the back and the other people are at the front.

    Thanks!

  3. Hello Carnival Cruise Critic,

I remembered looking at a Carnival Funship 2.0 upgrades list and I saw the Elation on there, scheduled for October-November of 2014. Did they do the upgrades? If they did, what was added? I'm pretty sure they didn't though.

  4. My family and I were on her in April and we loved it. Nice size ship, and very clean. Our only complaint was that the elevators always seemed broken. One would be fixed then the other would break. It was ok for me, it made me take the stairs and work off all that great food!

Throughout the whole duration of my cruise, the right-side Atrium elevator was shut down too.

  5. Went on the Paradise in June of this year- Wonderful ship, nicely kept for a 16 year old ship, loved the MDR food, great Cruise Director, the kids program was absolutely wonderful, tons of activities (personally enjoyed the Hide and Seek in the Normandie Lounge), old Twister water slide was actually better than the ones on the Spirit and Conquest class, and I thought the comedy show was hilarious. It was my favorite ship out of all the ones I've sailed on. Anymore questions, go ahead and ask! :) I would recommend this ship, but not the shows after 2.0. I've heard nothing good about Playlist production shows!!

  6. DEFINITELY DO IT. The Liberty is recently renovated, so it has all the Funship 2.0 upgrades. Chances are, the itinerary is great. What itinerary are you looking at exactly? That could heighten the experience. If you are easy to please, you will love Carnival. 2.0 entertainment, from what I hear, is good the first time. Food, IMHO, is great, and the service is pretty much always with a smile. The staff gives it 200% to please you. Good luck on your decision, though! :)
