  1. That's freaking me out a little bit, wondering if they're going to get cancelled

None of the 5-night sailings are sold out in that time frame, but many of the 9-nighters are. Yet currently, a few are still available to book online: Feb 2, 2018; Mar 2 and 16, 2018; and Apr 13, 2018.

I'm not experienced enough to know how to interpret this information and have an educated guess at the most likely outcome.

I read in the roll call that they pulled the inventory from the site but it's still bookable over the phone, but that doesn't leave me with warm fuzzies over what they might decide to do at a later date.

my guess is they are changing the itinerary a little. from what I hear, you can call directly and still book these dates.

  2. At least one person on CC is reporting this, which could make sense.

"Finally I called Royal Caribbean and was told by their Agent "Robert" that the company is "reconsidering" the itinerary of this ship/date and have pulled all prices from public view. As they are still taking reservations for this ship/date, they can only be priced by telephone."

  3. According to the RC website Navigator of the Seas on November 24, 2017 was sold out. I called RC to confirm, but was told it was not sold out. I was able book my cruise:)

That 9 night itinerary shows a lot of sold out dates! My guess is that they have are having an IT problem, or they can't decide how they want to price it. The dates that still show as available vary significantly in price.

  4. We just booked for Easter of next year on the Allure- and all of the "reserved" dining is booked already! We can't even get on the waitlist! Yikes!

Does anyone know when the dining and show reservations will open up? Is it a certain number of days before sailing? We have a group of 12 so I know we won't be able to show up at the door of the dining room and get a table without waiting an hour!

Also, what time does the dining room open at night?

    Thanks in advance!

We will be on Allure October 30th and specialty dining opened three weeks ago, so 6 months out for us. Still waiting on entertainment.

  5. I actually asked our steward about this last year. Our first cruise in 2009 we got one every night and we were (and when I say we, I mean my DW) so excited to see the darn thing when we retired each evening. The answer I got made PERFECT sense. Most cabins residents do not actually use the towel and it either stays in form or is immediately tossed on the floor creating an enormous amount of unnecessary laundry. If you really like them, a nice tip on embarkation day and a promise to use the towels may get you one every night.

  6. Thanks.

Do you also know if the bed placement varies on Balcony Freedom Class type rooms, meaning the bed in some is closer to the balcony and sofa to the bathroom and they basically swap positions in every room.

Would RCCL know if I called and asked this?

I am not certain, but I believe that on all freedom class and older ships, the bed is closest to the balcony. Junior suites have the couch closest to the balcony. I may be wrong.

  7. Hello,

Does anyone have experience with the cabins on Deck 10 AFT, D1 category, 1380-13p92 or 1680-1692 on the Freedom class of ships?

We have the option for a D1 cabin in that area of the ship but are a bit concerned being directly under the windjammer. It is appealing however that its on deck 10 in not such a busy area, away from elevators and more suites on this deck so maybe a bit quieter.

The other options would be similar D1 cabin on deck 7 that would have cabins above and below us instead of the windjammer.

Tried searching pictures of these cabins but can't seem to find any.

Thanks for any help / advice.

I can't specifically speak to freedom class, but we have stayed in this cabin on a voyager class ship and we noticed no noise from the windjammer.

  8. I very well may be oblivious, but I do not recall music being played at all on the exterior promenade. And I have always been able to find a deck lounger far enough away from the steel pans playing by the pool to read in relative peace. I have also enjoyed the library on Adventure which as I recall has a decent size window and natural light. I don't know how the library is on other ships.

  9. We have done both dozens of times, I would give east a slight edge, but prefer just switching back and forth. Not crazy about southern since it does not normally have many seadays which we like

Good point George! Both adventure and jewel usually have 5 ports in 7 nights. Not nearly enough float time. We just booked Navigator 9nt/4 port southerern. I think (hope) that becomes my favorite itinerary!
