  1. This info is really helpful. Thank you. Before covid we called at Gibraltar on a cruise and had a private excursion booked but after several of us waited in the designated waiting area for over an hour the guide never turned up. However, we have another opportunity as we call there next May on another cruise. We have our Caribbean cruise in three weeks to look forward to and as we are Saga virgins the info in your blog has really helped.
  2. Thank you Norbert’s Niece for your blog. We are finding it really interesting and helpful. Please keep it going.
  3. Thanks Denarius. like you, my wife and I have cruised considerably over the years and with most major cruise lines but our next cruise, to the Caribbean will be the first with Saga and for the very reasons you just quoted.
  4. Having read several of the negative comments about formal dress on this posting, I have to disagree. My wife and I have cruised for many years and with several of the “better” cruise lines and feel that once a company drop the strict formal code in favour of smart casual then you quite often see passengers trying to take it even further by trying to enter the MDR in jeans, tee shirts etc just to push the boundaries. Before retirement in my line of business I didn’t have to wear a suit so I rather enjoy dressing up smart. Long may Saga keep up their standards which is one of the reasons we moved from Aramark.
  5. Thank you for all your replies.
  6. On formal nights, is a white tux jacket acceptable?
  7. We are Saga first timers and are on the Caribbean cruise in November. When will we hear what time our pickup time is. We notice there are price reductions for this cruise in the latest brochure.
  8. Covid does seem to be on the increase again so we will be taking our covid passes on our next cruise in November
