  1. I know it sounds nasty to read and I am a bit creeped out, but having been raised in Massachusetts and swimming in local beaches and ponds ( God knows some of them are gross) I think you have to accept that no beach is 100% bacteria free. There is always waste of some sort...unfortunately. I was really nervous, but I still think I will go in up to my waist and not dunk my head and make sure I rinse off and shower as soon as I et back on board. Debating the vaccines, but more worried about what is in THEM than in the water. I just want to see that pink sand ( grease ball free- hopefully) and stick my feet in warm ocean water. If you have ever swam at Nahant Beach you will know why I want to feel it. That water is so cold it makes your legs numb. :D But the government needs to realize they have a problem and if they want tourist $$ to feed their economy then they need to do something.

  2. I imagine it would be hard. Just sort of inquiring how much people spend I guess. Scared of the "sticker shock" I have heard about.

We plan on one or two Paid restaurants, Cagney's and perhaps Moderno.

Drinks... those can go down real easy on vacation, lol. I think that is what I am more worried about, but not sure hubs and I would drink enough for the UBP. I am thinking of a $300 a day budget. Should be ok...I hope

  3. How much do people usually budget to take onboard? I do not want to use my CC and want to pay cash to set up portfolio for ship. It is just hubby and myself going on the dawn to Bermuda. How much of a budget do folks set up for themselves?

  4. Have one side of ship's balconies non smoking and one side smoking. I know everyone has rights but when a non smoker is next to a smoker on his/her balcony, it is not fun for the non smoker. Some smokers are more considerate than others. This would help NCL differentiate itself from RCL who has said no smoking on all balconies, and from other lines that allow smoking on all balconies.

At least offer a section of floors that could be nonsmoking so that we can use the balcony. I used to smoke so I know it's enjoyable but with my asthma I would have too many attacks. I hope I have at least one non smoking neighbor so I'm not getting the smoke from both sides.

  5. Snorkel Park is great for little kids and old ladies….…….no offense :D

Take the bus, taxi or van service to any of the other MUCH better beaches. Horseshoe is one of the better beaches. Easy bus there and back. We usually walk the paths to the right and they down to the beach. We walk down to here (second link)

No offence taken, lol. I want to go to horseshoe beach. I was seeing an ad for nightly music on the beach. I heard the beach was not that great . But maybe leave it for some last minute swimming and sun before heading home. I know I am going to try to get a few drinks at the Frog and Onion and of course have to have Rum swizzle

  6. I would love to see a brand new ship in Boston! One that does year round runs like the Breakaway! They always talk about expanding our cruiseport and they never do. It would boost tourism year round ( maybe). Former Mayor Menino, built up our seaport area with tons of nice restuarants and bars. Lets build a nice cruiseport ( if it is possible). One can dream...

  7. I'm going in July. I hope there is no warning and we do not miss any days . It's my first cruise ever and my 30th anniversary. I will have a great time sightseeing and laying on the beach, but so want to swim. I swim in revere beach in Massachusetts growing up and lived so I think I may be ok in bermuda:D

  8. There is another crop in May so I think the summer cruises should be good on the limes, lol. Funny, I would never worry about not having one in a drink until your told you CAN'T have it then it is a bother. :D As long as there is alcohol in my drink that is all that matters. ;)

  9. What is DSC? Is that the Service Charge? I'm bringing cash for my cruise. It would be too "tempting" to overspend on my charge or debit. I plan on bringing enough for $100 per day for my hubby and me, plus a little extra. It is our first cruise and our 30th anniversary so I want to make sure we have an awesome time. Another question is if we have "extra" in our account do they give you it back the day your disembark in cash or mail you a check?

  10. This is good, because every trip from Boston is full. Many cruisers keep rebooking Boston to Bermuda often.

I wish that Boston could open up to more homeport oportunities.

I would love to see this too. They say they want to expand Black Falcon Terminal, but nothing so far. It would be AMAZING to have a ship in Breakaway class come to home port there. If they can go year round from NYC why not Boston? Would be great.
