Has anyone experienced staying in the studios for solo travellers? Are they comfortable?

The mattresses on grand was not good. My friend said its not like the mattresses in holiday inn express at San Francisco Fisherman's wharf. But I still slept on it for 15 nights.

After coming back from the Grand recently, I would not recommend the Grand. But again, it has it's good and bad. But I personally will not cruise on it again.

The coffee on the Grand Princess some days tastes good. Some days tastes yucky depending on what time of the day. I bought the coffee card for $29 usd. It allows me 15 specialty coffee I think. I shared it with friends.

Starbucks coffee if available on board will be so great.

I brought my coffee mug with me on my recent trip to Hawaii on board Grand Princess.

My friends who got the thermos flask from room service said it does not keep the water warm at all.a

One cup of coffee a day keeps me happy.

My first cruise with Princess cruise line was on Grand Princess to Hawaii February 18 to March 05,2015. On the overall, the cruise was okay but there were too many old people on this trip. By the 8th day the corridors smells like its a seniors home. The activities were mostly for elderly people.

I enjoyed some of the shows. I enjoyed the jokes that the cruise director always make. I enjoyed the food thoroughly. But 15 days was a little too long for me. By the 10th day, I was tired of the breakfast. I ate the same think mostly at the buffet line up on Lido deck. I enjoyed the songs the pianist played in the evening on deck 7. The waiters at the dining room were nice. I had a great time dancing, listening to music and watching others dance. I had a great time on some trivia nights.

Some things I did not like were:

1. The movies were always a repeat. They were mostly old shows.

2. Sometimes the shows indicated on the program were not what was shown on the screen in the day for movies under the stars.

3. The casinos were smoky. Smoking should not be allowed in casinos.

4. Smokers smoke out on deck 7. They should go up to a smoking room for them so people like me who are allergic to smoke will not suffer .

5. The cruise ship I thought was renovated did not look renovated. It looks old.

6. The ship should be checked for air quality.

But if you ask me if I would come back on grand princess, I would say no. But maybe I would try other ships by Princess cruise line.
