  1. I saw a report that it wasn't working last week & was closed. Seems to be happening quite a bit over the year & a half it's been in service. I enjoyed it immensely my last cruise, and would be a little bummed if it wasn't functioning come this Sunday! not that it would make or break my trip, but it's quite a rush. Especially after a few miller lites. I'm just perplexed why they can't get it fixed and keep it fixed, and have a plan of action should something go wrong with it while cruising.

  2. Pride is a great ship, we went March 2015 & are leaving again this coming Sunday. Best class of cruise ship in my opinion, large ship but not mega ship, does not seem as crowded when compared to other ships. Great food options with the 2.0 enhancements.

  3. They say 1:30 but the ship is normally in port around 9am with boarding beginning around noon....however many times in Baltimore due to weather and other delays the Pride arrives late, so it's pretty much a crap shoot. My cruise on the pride last March we arrived around10:45, and I believe we were on the ship around 12:15-12:30. I plan on arriving around the same time this time around (same cruise as you). I would say if you have FTTF plan on being their for your early check in window, unless they send you a communication that the ship is running late.

  4. They are going to staggered check in for Baltimore beginning July 10th (my cruise). I don't have a problem with this, but I think there are two reasons it's not being rolled out correctly:

    A. I only found out through a post oh J.H.'s page, total luck. no communication via email or anything from Carnival.

    B. wouldn't it make more sense to pick a date and announce any future booking from this time on must select a check in time? Instead of haphazardly announcing 11 days before a cruise that you must select one to people who have already checked in. Seems a bit confusing.

I guess it doesn't matter much to me being Platinum, even though they still want you to pick out a time slot. I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of confusion at the port 7-10-16 with people being turned away and what not, and I don't think it's their fault. many just might not know

    Just my thoughts...

  5. The kids are 23, 19 and 15 yr old twins. On paper my hubby was in the kids room and the 19 yr old w me due to Carnival restrictions however in actuality hubby was w me in and all 4 kids were together. Yes I know against the rules. The stewards were well aware of what we were doing

I don't see that as against the rules (I now technically it is). You're allowed to book the younger ones up to three staterooms away. So swapping rooms and putting them on another deck with the older guys is solid to me! :)

  6. I personally never had trouble with YTD dining after three cruises with it. Waited 2x total out of those three trips with the longest 40 mins. And it's not like I was starving with all the food consumption I was doing on the trip . ha!
