Enjoy your cruise

You should have received an amenity invoice listing the purchase and the names of those receiving the package, if it doesn't show I would give the toll free number a call to ensure everything went thru on their end, NCLs' computer system seems to be a bit overloaded lately and mistakes have been made, just takes a little due diligence on our, the passengers, part to ensure everything is in order

I'm going to talk to the others in my party, we booked for April of 2017 but seen as how the route is similar and the price is better this might be up our ally
-
SC suites are even cheaper on that sailing (January 2017) I have some thinking to do and fast! As I'm sure this won't last long

That review should be on the ncl website thanks for sharing Linda

I hope the OP meant 2016, if so lots of time for research, any specific questions? Never sailed the Getaway but I have only cruised NCL and took their TA "university" program

My family decided to get a family suite instead of two balconies. It's a win-win. Just a little more expensive than two balconies (esp mini-suites, Udp for all, ubp for the ppl who actually drink, soda packages for the soda lovers, a slightly higher obc, gratuities for two, a butler, concierge, and priority boarding to name a few. I booked two separate suited, 1 yr a part, with the current special. Thanks to cc I was able to get to get a heads up on the addition of dsc and called on 3/1 and got it added. I also found info on suited that we're going for $423 pp in 2017. We ended up booking a OS with the four offers for $588 pp!!

Why don't people leave these concierges alone until they get on the ship? My god, don't you think they are busy helping the current passengers? Enough is enough, what could possibly be so important? Don't worry, it won't take them too long to bring you your special pillows once you board.
Agreed, the pre concierge looks after passengers PRE CRUISE, the onboard concierge should have to be bothered with upcoming passengers request until it's their turn for his/hers valuable time just my opinion

If the answer is no, there are plenty of honeymooners around that could take it off your hands maybe in exchange for a nice coffee drink in the atrium

Also, I'm sure it hasn't changed since September, you also get reserved seating in the theatre, top starboard side balcony, great seats almost always empty in the late show, if Tim Kaminski is still on board don't think you are safe from his sharp tongue lol the guy is hilarious, off stage he is very approachable and has great stories from over the years
-
When we sailed in September 2014 suite guests are in Il Adago (hope I spelled that right) menu was great for both breakfast and lunch was happy with the non changing menu all week
-
Family balcony is just a balcony stateroom that connects to the next with the ability to open the dividers if both cabins are booked by the same party they offer no extra room per stateroom per say

I can't stand the snarky comments of CC members
Why can't we all just get along
Why stir up that pot fella

Just amended our reservation to include the prepaid DSC, our deposit went up $250, but our final payment t went down so we are ahead of the game, I highly doubt a better deal will come along between now and then but one never knows, received new confirmation and amenities emails to reflect the changes, the whole process took 5 minutes most of which was casual conversation with the rep, Thanks NCL!!

Dave I think you just won cruise critic

OP Must have had a blonde moment [emoji12]

Costs go up its a fact of life and the cost of a suite will always be at a premium because we pay it
-
Good to know my fellow cruisers on the jade just booked yesterday
-
Too late now I think it was increased today not sure it matters when it was booked I may be wrong on this
-
For those that can afford a suite, really what is 2.95 pp/pd for the extra treats, better coffee machine, larger space, private dinning venues, reserved seating.
-
Just a theory but the increase is simply that a increase, as minimum wages and cost of living climb so shall our DSC it makes "dollars and sense" now
-
Would it be reasonable to try a quick cruise to nowhere so he can see first hand the safety of these vessels, I like the video approach to warm them up to the idea
Upgrade to Family Suite from Balcony

This torture, I can't take advantage of these deals, DW has blackout times for vacation that wouldn't allow us to travel during these times :(
