On The Vista two weeks ago we were served Montaudon.
We were on the Vista's Transpacific in March and they were serving Montaudon. We all really, really enjoyed it 😁

Our dog received a very bad bite from another dog, requiring several stitches, four weeks before we were to go on a transatlantic - already paid in full. We were prepared to stay home and look after him, but after a couple of weeks he was fully recovered and bounced right back.
I can't help you with your refund question, but I definitely understand how you feel. Hope your dog makes a quick recovery - they are very resilient!

Does anyone know if the drinks in the Founders Bar are included with the Prestige drink package?
We are also on this cruise and yes, Founders bar drinks are included in prestige package. We are a group of six and between us have tried most of them 😁- 1

Entertainment in O’Malley’s.
These guys were on the Enchanted in November and always drew a big crowd. They are very talented!
Your review and all the pics are fabulous. Thank you for taking the time.

We won a day pass for the Sanctuary on a recent Transatlantic. It was fairly quiet so they let us have a cabana too.

Yesterday’s Vietnamese coffee and pho lunch was covered by the tour price.
The pho looked amazing.
We are doing this cruise next spring, so I just wanted to thank you for taking time out of your holiday to share your pictures and experiences. It is very much appreciated. Looks fabulous 🙂

We were just recently on the Enchanted and upgraded to premium when we got on board. We had no issues whatseover and were easily able to book our two specialty restaurant reservations, one even a few days later into the cruise.

Just took advantage of the 45% off premium drink package sale for a cruise in March 2025. As much as I dislike putting out the money for a cruise well over a year away, I just can't justify not doing so. A cup of coffee, some water, two or three drinks and it's paid for. And who knows where the prices will be in 2025?

Hi @Ombud. Ours was shipped on the 31st and we just received them today. But we don't check our mail every day so they might have been there for a few days already. Can't believe we board one week today!

Skywalkers! We did a 30-day South America cruise and spent a lot of lazy sea days there just reading, relaxing and taking in the scenery (and perhaps napping haha). Sometimes they do have things going on there but usually not for very long.

We spent several days in Cape Town last year both pre and post safari and I can highly recommend https://africanmoonadventures.com/. Ian is great - very personable and passionate about his country. When we go back we will definitely use him again. Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities we have ever seen.
As others have said, Robben Island is easy to do on your own and ubers are dirt cheap there too.

A representative told me the same thing over the phone, but once on the ship they told us it was not possible.
I'm sorry this didn't work for you. We were able to do it on the Koningsdam a few weeks ago without issue.

We just booked a recently released cruise onboard the Koningsdam. I am getting confused by the terms now but we received the HIA package with premium drinks and wifi as well as extra Mariner OBC. This on top of the OBC for booking onboard. The booking was transferred to our TA and we have retained everything.
Not sure if this helps.

Hi - hoping someone might know the answer to this. We have two cruises coming up in the next six months and are looking at purchasing travel insurance. My husband has just been contacted to join a clinical trial based on a past one he has done. It would involve a medical procedure as well as medication if he is selected for that arm of the trial. He hasn't been diagnosed with anything. This is all just for the sake of research and a trial for which he has volunteered.
Does anyone know whether that might interfere with him getting travel insurance? We will obviously check with the insurance company but thought someone might know.

Boarded in Vancouver two weeks ago and no one was asking about assigned times. There was a priority line and then just the general line. Based on the number of people in the general line, no one was paying attention to their assigned times.

We love Sushi on Five. On our last cruise on Millennium we had lunch there on over half of the port days.
Great place for lunch. We also had several on sea days during a Millennium cruise.- 1

I always bring a thick elastic band with me to hold down the button. It works.

I should also clarify when I made the booking with the future cruise gentleman I was told I was the first person to book this particular cruise (newly released) and as such my chances were pretty good I would get the cabin I wanted 🙂 It doesn't indicate anywhere on my confirmation nor was I told by my TA that my deposit was nonrefundable.
I had been regularly checking cabin availability before boarding the cruise on which I made this booking.

All must upgrade. Really, with the ability to pay the difference (plus 18%), it would take several drinks (even if they were $15 exactly) to make up the upgrade cost.
There were one or two wines available where the price difference was such we broke even after two glasses of wine.

Please help me understand how this works.
If you book/pay for a balcony guarantee, do you with CO get upgraded to just the top balcony 'category' (i.e. any stateroom/location within that category) or are you able to choose a particular stateroom within that top category.
Example: Say Noordam or Westerdam - if I book a guarantee (HAL to choose my stateroom, thus lower fare), then add Club Orange, do I get 'any' VA stateroom (of HAL's choosing) or can I choose a specific one (even maybe a VB in a certain location).
Thanks in advance for any clarification.
Hi - I booked this while onboard a cruise last week. I paid for and booked a balcony guarantee. I then emailed my TA to pay for the CO add-on (you can't get the upgrade until you have paid for CO). I then let her know which cabin I wanted and once CO was paid she contacted HAL and was able to get the cabin.
The gentleman at the cruise sales desk cautioned that he personally couldn't guarantee I would get the actual cabin I requested and that it was up to HAL. But did say they usually were able to give you what you wanted, based on availability. So in a way the upgrade I guess could be seen as a GTY itself. But it worked for us and others have posted they have had no issues either.
Hope that helps.

Just off an Alaska Koningsdam cruise and the fish was phenomanal in the MDR. Tried the black cod, salmon and halibut. All were cooked perfectly and very moist. The halibut was particularly outstanding.

We just booked a 14 night 2025 cruise while on the Koningsdam and saved over $600 - including the extra CO price - by paying for a balcony guarantee and then being upgraded to the top balcony category.
The Club Orange restaurant also looks very nice. Much more intimate than the MDR.

Just off the Koningsdam today. The current lineup in BB Kings is the best I have ever seen. Amazing group of musicians.

Santorini suggestions for 30th anniversary
in Greece Ports
Posted
We were there in June 2022 via the Beyond and had drinks and a light meal at Idol. Food was great, as was the service. The view was amazing. But honestly, all the restaurants along that strip have beautiful views. We were there probably about 4:30/5:00'ish and by that time the main crush of cruisers (also 3 ships in port) had left so it was easy enough to get great seats
We also sailed at 10:00 - we took the cable car back at about 7:00 and just walked right on. No lineups. No waiting.
Enjoy your anniversary in Santorini! We were married there many years ago so it has a special place in our hearts.
