Just booked MSC Seashore out of Port Canaveral, 5/19-26/24. 7 night western, in a Balcony (Fantastica) for less than $700. Yesterday the inside guarantee was more than that. It definitely pays to keep checking.
I've been wanting to try MSC - for that price I couldn't go pass it up.

Maybe it has to do with it being a brand new ship. I booked the Transatlantic in Sept 2024 for a little less than double, but that I did book in Nov23.

So very sorry for what you are going through. I say try it. If you don't like it, don't go again but you will know. I love cruising, my husband not so much.
I went through a very stressful life situation about 10 years ago and needed some time away and went on my 1st solo cruise. It was a 5 night and just enough to know I loved it. Most folks are very friendly and it's pretty easy to strike up a conversation. I've been on 60+ cruises and now have done about 10 solo. My most recent was an 11 night last Nov on Princess. I am just off a family cruise with my siblings/spouses yesterday and now know why I love cruising solo. I am only responsible for myself.
Personally, at this time in my life (I'm 65) Princess is my favorite cruise line. Great service, food is good, beautiful ships. (not many children).
Taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of others. Book that cruise and hopefully it won't be your last.

I did 11 nights on the Emerald in November and had a great time. I guess a little rust here and there doesn't bother me. Food (even the buffet) and Service were great. I had a balcony room on 12. No issues. I wouldn't hesitate to sail on her again.
I also sailed Enchanted Oct 2022 and yes, its much newer and fancier. Again great food & service. That's what matters the most to me. I cruise to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I'm not cooking and cleaning, I'm happy.

I say go for it. I just did an 11 night solo on Princess and loved it. Ive done a few solo cruises but most were short cruises. Even when I cruise with family or friends we aren’t together all the time
See if there is a roll call and join it. We had a very active roll call so you can chat ahead of time. We had a meet up the 1st afternoon. It was nice because some of us ate dinner together. I’d run into folks at trivia, shows etc.
You may find you love it. I know I did. I’m tired of waiting for someone to go with me

Our local news says a new cruiseline is coming to Jacksonville and they are saying they think its NCL

I’m wondering if other people who sailed on princess had better luck reserving a table for sharing or just showing up and requesting it. It doesn’t sound like the solo meetup works out for everyone.
A couple times, I just showed up whenever I wanted to eat and said I would share. No issues at all. I was also able to reserve a table (alone or shared) in the app.

Thinkin of booking Princess solo mid April out of Ft Lauderdale or perhaps NCL out of Miami.
I loved sailing solo on Princess. Never went to any of the solo meet ups (never looked for them) We had a large rollcall here and on the other page we can't mention. There were honestly about 25 solos - some of us met up for dinner, trivia, etc. In fact 3 of us booked (separate cabins) for the Sun T/A in Sept. The service was always great. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

Another lurker here who throughly enjoys your reviews. And all your pictures are awesome. As someone else posted you could do a book of your beautiful photos
Good luck. Life changes are never easy

I've been having this issue for the past 3 weeks, doesn't matter if I'm on my phone, desktop or laptop. I've used Chrome and Edge and incognito pages - even cleared all cookies.
I can use my booking number and access my current booking but that's it. Very frustrating.

In my past experience, the Free at Sea is per person. So you get the 2 specialty dinners and whatever the minutes are for one person - you don't get double. I've only done 2 solo on NCL so I could be mistaken.

I’m interested in the answers you get. I’ve been on several Princess cruises but have my 1st solo with them in Nov. and it’s 11 nights.

You are very lucky. I forgot mine on Frontier back in April Next passenger even called to tell me they found it and he was giving it to the flight attendant - I had my name and phone number in the case. I filed a report and got several "we are looking for it" emails but they never found it.

Maybe I missed something but does anyone know why you can only book the Sun or Sky through August 2019? Wanted to book a weekend cruise next September or October and they aren’t available.
I thought I’d ask the experts
Thanks

We were in an aft wrap in deck 7 and had an awesome view. One of our best cruises ever

how far does the Princess website now showing cruises?
Currently through July 2019

I’ve only sailed Princess once but loved our cruise. Looking to book something for Fall of 2019 out of Ft Lauderdale. Any idea when those dates might be released? We are just not familiar with when Princess typically releases their following year cruises.
Thanks

The 3 days Bahamas one was cancelled too because of the same reason. I know it happens, but we had just booked a girls cruise with 10 ladies and now its back to the drawing board. We don't want to drive to Miami for a 3 night cruise.

Booked inside solo sail away rate of $399 leaving 11/5 on the Getaway. Just booked last week. Got an offer to bid on OV and Balcony. I bid the minimum of $50pp so $100 total and it was just accepted. Midship balcony on deck 9.
-
Thank you. That’s what I thought but wanted to double check. I’m in an inside (whole lot cheaper than a studio)
-
Doubled.
Thanks
SORRY duplicate post

Hoping someone has had experience with this and can help. This is my 1st time on NCL in a long time and the bidding wasn’t going on then
When traveling solo and you bid on an upgrade are you only charged the amount for the one person or is it doubled? I see it says 1st and 2nd person is charged. I just don’t want to get a surprise and pay more than I expect.
Thanks

Wally Park at the Jax airport has cruise parking. The shuttle ride is only about 10-15 minutes. I always use them for flights and wouldn't hesitate to book there for a cruise
A game changer coming for Florida cruising

Or NE FL. Seems more for travel between Orlando & south FL
