I would say try it once, you are the only one who can determine if its worth it. I do eat steak, but always order the sea bass in the steakhouse. It is wonderful.

They did have outdoor movies and concerts playing all day- I should have mentioned it in my review! I guess I am used to all the cruise lines doing that! :) I did see local channels for Miami-ABC, etc. This was such a short cruise we did not really watch tv tough. Hope this helps! :)
Thanks - that helped alot.

Thanks for taking the time to write this review. I'm reading all I can about the Divinia as we are considering a cruise on her next spring. We are really thinking about trying MSC just for a change of pace.
I have a couple of questions if you don't mind. I know these are petty things but something I've been asked by friends also considering this ship. Is there an outdoor movie? We've gotten used to watching movies at night. Also, is there any network TV channels? Like I said pretty silly, but sometimes with little ones you are stuck in the room for a few hours.
Thanks again for your review.

In the U.S.,,Fantastica Experience bookings will receive a 12 drink voucher booklet,,but that doesn't begin until the summer of 2017:
*****The Fantastica Drink Package is available starting from Summer 2017. It consist of 12 beverage vouchers in bars, restaurants and buffet and includes wines by the glass, beers, non-premium spirits and cocktails, soft drinks, mineral water and hot drinks. Child version without alcohol.
Is this 12 vouchers per person or per cabin?

For those just on the Valor who was the cruise director?
I believe his name was Chris. This was one of the few cruises that I had no idea who the cruise director was. Sorry, he just wasn't very memorable :)

We were on the 1st cruise post dry dock. Ship looked great. Everything was all shiny and clean. Sorry, we didn't take any pictures.
No American table, just the regular menus. We thought the food was good - Enjoyed Guys and the Blue Iguana.
Sorry I don't have alot of info - we went to just relax and that's what we did. Shows were so so - there is still an orchestra which surprised me. Service was good in most places, a little slow in others.
I would definitely cruise the Valor again.

Deck 5 aft cabins have refrigerators. We were in 5314 in November and had a COLD refrigerator. I think all the new cabins have refrigerators. We loved that location - close to everything.
-
Since this is such a long dry dock maybe she is getting the balconies added like most of the other Fantasy class ships did a few years back.
We were a little disappointed when we found out she was replacing Fascination and didn't have the balconies.

Which ships are you comparing? To me that makes a big difference. I've cruised Carnival & RCCL both and like a lot of things about both of them.
But if you are looking at a new ship vs an older smaller ship that may make a huge difference in your experience.
-
I know this wasn't one of the options you listed, but we had an inside on Deck 5 aft and LOVED this location. And these are the new rooms - actually had a cold refrigerator. And if you get one of the 4 on the "inside" hallway they are bigger.
Enjoy your cruise on the Sunshine. I know there are lots of mixed reviews but we had a wonderful time and can't wait to sail her again.

We sailed Sunshine in November and had a great cruise. We were also a little nervous about the reviews, but had no complaints. We did notice some crowding at times, but no more than usual.
We had one of the new cabins on Deck 5 and enjoyed the location. Can't wait to sail the Sunshine again.

I've been able to get them on all my RCL cruises at the coffee shop. They just don't have a large selection of sugar free syrup - usually just vanilla.
And I think "skinny" usually refers to skim milk and sugar free flavoring.
-
We sailed the Sunshine early November and only had to wait on Formal night - and that was less than 5 minutes. We always went to dinner around 6pm and there were never more than 4-6 people in line ahead of us.
-
I am really afraid of the water so I know how she feels. However, I've been on 50 cruises and don't have an issue while on the ship. I can look out at the horizon, but not down at the water from the higher decks. Now the tender is another story - I am very nervous anytime we have to use tender service.
Hopefully she will be able to go and enjoy the cruise.

We were on the Sunshine the beginning of November and had an inside on Deck 5 aft and LOVED it. We were in one of the 1st rooms and heard no noises from above us on Deck 6. It was so convenient to everything on Deck 5. Loved being able to have breakfast at the Taste Bar and we could sit and listen to the band at night. And it was a new room and had a COLD refrigerator. Loved the location and would definitely book that room again on the Sunshine.
The other nice thing was we were right at the aft elevator so could so straight up to the buffet area.
Have a great cruise, I know the Sunshine gets a lot of bad reviews but we had a great cruise and hope to sail her again.

No one was offering blankets on our cruise in October on the Conquest. Only popcorn. It would have been nice!
They are usually at the towel hut
-
Sorry I don't remember the name, but its the one in the rear of the ship on Deck 3. You check in by the Taste Bar on Deck 5 then go down to Deck 3.
We just sailed the Sunshine 2 weeks ago, always went to dinner close to 6pm and never had to wait for a table (there were 2 of us)
Enjoy your cruise. We really liked the Sunshine and can't wait to sail her again.
-
No, they do not. I wish all the ships had them. We love sitting out on deck at night watching a movie.
-
My friend and I were on the same cruise. I hope you had as great a time as we did. Loved the Sunshine and can't wait to sail her again.
Looking forward to reliving our cruise through your review.

so the chat feature was still free?
Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
It was last week.

Just off the Sunshine this past Friday. We used it and it would definitely use it again. It was no charge due to it still being beta tested. There were only 2 of us (and in the same cabin), but we only had an issue 1 time with the chat feature.
It was really nice to see your S&S charges and what was happening around the ship. If it listed the menus, it would be perfect!!
I hope you enjoy the Sunshine as much as we did - can't wait to sail her again.

I'm not sure if you have cruised out of JAX before, but from our experience they don't usually allow anyone into the parking lot there much before 11am.
Also, the Fascination boards on Deck 1 so you don't have the ramps to walk up like you do in some ports.
And don't discount weddings on that ship - we have seen several.
Enjoy your cruise. Fascination is one of my favorite ships, only 40 minutes from my house
-
Sorry you had a bad cruise on the Dream. I've sailed almost 50 times, almost equally on Carnival & RCCL and I have to say the Dream is the only cruise I can actually say wasn't a good one. Seems people either love or hate that ship. The food was terrible the week we went and service not go good either. Unfortunately I've seen rude passengers and slobs on both lines.
Just to add - the aft pool should have been adult only. Not the entire area though - just the pool and hot tubs. Still can't figure out why they put the pizza place by the adult only pool.
-
I've been on both - multiple times on the Fascination, but i would pick the Victory. In my opinion there is more to do and Grand Turk and HMC would totally sway my choice.
Have a great cruise whatever you choose.

We stayed in one of the new cabins (inside) on Deck 5 aft last Fall and loved it. I will always book in that area if I sail the Sunshine. Very convenient to everything and very quiet and yes it actually had a COLD refrigerator. My brother and sis in law stayed in one of the "inside hallway" cabins and because of the layout it seems much bigger.
I know the Sunshine gets a lot of mixed reviews, but it was our favorite ship.
