Should we be nervous about a new cast? Hopefully they're every bit as good as the outgoing cast, which everyone has raved about.
-
Please share your favorite dishes from the specialty restaurants. Let the mouth-watering begin!

Good thing you pointed out that they were from Canada, since that's important to the story.
Poor Canadians.. always getting stereotyped for their aggressiveness and rabble-rousing.

You can reserve comedy once on the ship. Whether or not the shows are different depends entirely on the comedians who happen to be on your cruise and what type of material they have. Most will tell you at their first show if it will be all new stuff at subsequent shows.
The dueling pianos isn't really a "show", but live music in a bar, exactly like your Howl at The Moon in Chicago. People are coming and going all the time.
So no reservations for dueling pianos I take it?

Trying to get my facts straight. You can reserve these shows, but only once onboard? How quickly do they "sell out"? Is everyone with a reservation guaranteed a seat? Would you recommend going to see the comedians only once, or do they do different sets all week? What about the shows in Fat Cats, do you reserve those as well?

The getaway has beautiful decor, never once felt put off, but I have sailed her twice so...
She certainly looks beautiful. Can't wait to see her!

And here I thought this post was going to be about a musical group called "Pink Carpets". Or a drink.
I didn't even notice the carpets. If you discover once you are on board that they are blindingly offensive to you, you could always wear sunglasses. Or get a wheelchair, close your eyes, and have a travelling companion push you quickly through the offending areas.
I would rather be on a cruise with puke-colored carpets than sitting at my desk in my office at work any day. :)
Of course! I never suggested otherwise.

I'm sailing on the Getaway early next year. In anticipation, I've been looking at pictures and videos online. I'm very excited! The ship looks shiny and beautiful. My only complaint from what I've seen is the ample use of hot pink carpets in public areas (seems to be concentrated in stairwells and elevator bays). Not my color of choice! Is it as loud and off-putting in person as I think it is online? And don't give me any grief over this post- it isn't a major concern and won't make or break my cruise- I'm just making conversation. :D

Duplicate.

What about cabins on the aft hump? Are they forward enough from Spice to avoid the music and vibrations?
-
Looks to me like Fiona is heading northeast of the Bahamas. Regardless, the Captain will keep close tabs on the situation and keep you far away from her. Enjoy the ship and some R & R!
-
I just hope they keep the rock climbing wall!

I see that people like the Escape the best. I wonder if it's just because it's the newest ship, or if it truly is the most beautiful. Or if people just really really like giant marlins. :D

When is O'Sheehan's typically crowded? In other words, when should it be avoided?
-
Because it's already been done? Several times...
You're totally right. The same poll was done 25 months ago, so what was I thinking! I love when somebody doesn't like a topic but still takes the time to click into it and make a post. Sheeesh.

Here's my take: I don't care. It's doesn't make the ship sail any more different that any other ship. Oh, wait, maybe Pepsi foots the painting bill that's why there's no carry on Coke.
Really? The paint doesn't affect the way the ship sails?
In all seriousness, nobody really cares-- it's just a fun discussion. I seriously doubt the Hull Art would be a deal breaker for anybody.
-
Out of curiosity, how does the Getaway hull look in person? I like it in the pictures but wonder if it comes across as faded in person.
-
Vote for your favorite hull art!
I saw an old version of this poll that did not include the newer ships, so I thought an updated poll might be fun. :)

Just booked my first Norwegian cruise on the Getaway. I keep reading that the Escape is better, but it wasn't offering the itinerary I wanted. Anyway, did you like the Getaway? I'm a little nervous about the smaller balconies, but I figure there is so much going on that I won't want to stay in my cabin that much anyway. Thanks.

I'm trying to figure out the show options on the Getaway and am a little confused. Could someone please list the shows by A) which ones you can reserve pre-boarding, B) which ones you can reserve but not until you're on the ship, and C) which ones you cannot pre-book in any way. Thanks!
-
Drinks are included (at least they are on the Escape).
By the way, how did you like the Celebrity Summit?
-
Eyeing a cruise on the Getaway and currently circling a cabin on the Aft hump. Not one of those with an angled balcony, one of the cabins in between. I'm assuming that the only benefit is proximity to the Aft elevators. Is there any other benefit?

How did the ship handle full capacity? Did it seem crowded in the inside public areas?
