Just happened to see this thread looking for something else. RomeCabs and some of the the other car services have a permit to come into the port area. They can pick up right as you walk off the ship, very easy, and probably quicker than waiting for everyone to get on a Cunard-arranged bus. Probably more cost-effective for 2 or more traveling together too. We have used them before, going from the port to Rome, and Rome hotel to airport, we were very satisfied. Plan to use them again later this year on a QV cruise that starts from Civitavecchia (from Rome hotel, spending time in the city pre-cruise)
