This proves the OP's point. Some RCI cheerleaders are snobby. Avoid the word Carnival and if Danny is cruising with you, no harm cuz he'd never know you are a Carnival cruiser.:)
you can spot them a mile away. shorts in the dinningroom, flower Hawaiian shirts, terrible table manners and mostly loud.
-
I like the notion that RCI is a bit snobby, this may keep some riff raff carnival types off the ship.

Just got email from RCI
Up to 30% off Specialty Dining
Number of Reservations:
3 - 20% off
4 - 25% off
5+ - 30% off
Additional verbiage
Receive 20% of the value of your reservation if you book a specialty dining experience for the first day of your cruise. Traveling with the family? Kids ages 6-12 dine for only $8. Children younger than 5 years of age dine for free.
this is a bad idea , i go to get away from kids

Last week, we saw people in shorts every night, including formal night. Not a whole lot on most days (and less on formal night), but they were in there.
shame really
-
I see shorts every single day in the main dining room.
I see no one turned away.
Everyone does whatever s/he wants these days.
That's the reality. Not the suggested guidelines (aka, dress code), but the reality.
No there is a limit, i have seen sleeveless shirts turned away on GOS.
-
On our cruise a couple of weeks ago I wore shorts the first night and the last night along with my polo but this was due to me being tired and lazy. Also on the Allure if you're seated in one of the side dining areas you don't even have to go through the main entrance.
tired and lazy? this seems the theme now adays , people just cant be bothered to dress up a bit.

no it is not ok, may i suggest carnival cruise lines.

Your cabin sounds like it was on an upper deck and you wouldn't hear the anchor. However, I was on lower decks, 3 & 4. The anchor is very loud in that location.
When I 've been in suites, all the way forward on upper decks, I never heard the anchor.
I dont understand why do they put the suites right under the main activity deck?

Too each their own. This is a ten day cruise with IMHO a better iten .The same cruise in December is a lot cheaper but this works better as my wife needs time to prepare for the holidays .
We are lucky enough to live near the beach so a summer cruise to a beach while great for most doesn't work for me
of course it has to work for you , very true. not everyone can grab a cruise inside 2 months of lift off.

id imagine he would love to be bothered by a guest who thinks they are special.

my personal preference would be the inside mid for less motion and noise.

The current policy is to leave your towel wherever you please.
haha, best to leave them spread out on the loungers all day.

Sussed mate. The return of the troll. Thought you were in prison.....
No, me and my brother Tony emigrated to Spain.

UncleAlbert_HMS is a character from 'Only Fools and Horses', a British sitcom. Am surmising that this is the same poster who has used various names and pics as avatars from the series over the past few weeks trolling. Not all the posts have been wind-ups but some have been extremely bizarre.
i think so

Congrats!!! Glad someone here got to take advantage of it!!
$900 or even $800 for an outside on the grandeur isnt a great deal. its best to wait inside 60 days ,if one is looking for the price drops. those are better than any sale. im going 399pp 7 night on friday.

Why would you get sun in your face? There are two sets of curtains, sheers and BLACKOUT curtains. If one remembers to close the curtains then no light seeps in. At night any cabin is dark, there are no street lights or ambient light on a ship when your window or balcony faces the ocean. An interior promenade cabin would get ambient light more so then and outside cabin.
what about the moon? or maybe i dont want to get woken by some seeping sun coming in at 5:30 no matter how tight you close the curtain a little some seeps in, also as i said i can hear the next door balcony open and closing every 5min. sometimes loud talkers.

I'm not sure why OP didn't take your suggestion seriously. My experience is that all ship brands are very "cheap"
when it comes to casino perks. I believe it would pay them to "throw" a few drinks around.
Do you know of any brand that is more rewarding to its casino patrons ?
we have had some disputes about tips and dress code in the past. I gave an honest and on topic reply, some just hold a grudge in disagreements i guess.
i will respect his wishes and stay off his thread.

Haven't you been reading any of these posts? Numerous people have reported that they indeed look in your safe and retrieve any passports found there to be given over to the port representative if you miss the ship. Are you saying all these people are liars? Or don't you understand simple English?
this will not always happen. for many the ship didnt have the time or the men available to do so.

Come on, be a sport. I put a lot of thought into this post. Can you go ruin someone elses posting....maybe on a different forum altogether, at least for the evening?
this was actually serious. :( this is a thing id like to see changed that some other lines do.

they could do is give better casino comps. maybe even comp cabins for bigger players. They refused to rate me playing at a table if it was under $50 a hand.
Snobby Passengers??

that is the difference, the laid back thing, that is what seperates those who prefer one line over the other,. we may come off as snobbs to those who cant be bothered to dress up or like the laid back feeling.
