Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. When you say you booked it on your own, did you do a tour and if so, with whom? Thanks.
  2. I've chosen my first WC... Oceania Vista, Miami to Miami in 2026. Thanks everyone for your contributions!
  3. I too am planning to hang some storage with magnets from the ceiling on the WC. Also, based on what I've seen on some YouTube videos, some pull out bins for the shelf in the closet which is 24" deep. 2 week cycles of clothes seems to be the consensus from what I've been reading.
  4. No, definitely not. But storage looks very limited, even for clothing, especially if you add some nicer evening things and what you may need for certain excursions. Plus, the 'other stuff' really adds up when you're away for 6 months and visiting 100 ports. Forget travel sizes 🤣
  5. I'm booked to do a world cruise on this ship and concerned about storage for 180 days! I'm in a regular veranda, 8075 (not accessible). If anyone took shelving measurements, please share. For example, the 2 shelves above the safe and height of the shelf under the sink. I plan to buy organizers for these areas. thanks.
  6. I booked my World Cruise through the cruise line (lots of perks but no OBC), but then transferred it to a TA and got 5% OBC. The cruise consultant and the TA both get credit.
  7. Thanks for your input. I've never been on a ship this small so it will be a different experience I guess. Good point about the free Wifi. I had to look up 'Baggo' - in Florida they call it Cornhole.
  8. For me, having information on the app is a huge convenience, but it doesn't have to be a requirement to use the app. It's a great way to quickly look up information. Some of the ship apps also have a chat feature which is very nice to connect with other cruisers. Also, it's nice to bring up the daily schedule when I'm walking around the ship. I can't remember all the times and locations for events.
  9. Ah, OK Now I get it. Thank you!
  10. ??? Not sure what you mean.
  11. Just wondering what travel insurance people purchased for their world cruise? I'm not sure the cruise line coverage would be adequate. If you could let me know the names of the insurance carriers, that would be great. Also, were you able to purchase the additional insurance 2 years prior to your WC? Thanks.
  12. I'm confused by that patterned area above the bolsters. Not sure if it's metal.
  13. That's disappointing since extra storage is SO very important when you're on the ship for 6 months. I believe you can still hang hooks on the ceiling, but I'll need to verify that.
