Can you use OBC as part of your down payment if you book a future cruise on board?
-
If all goes well I'm planning on going twice on the 1 sea day, that's how much I loved it on the Magic almost 2 years ago!!

Is this acceptable (Carnival rules) and doable? Get there around 8:30 AM and again around 1 to 1:30.

Thanks for the great review. Good info & pics. We are going on the Fascination for the first time in Jan.

I use my Cabelas card. :) However, I have about everything I want outdoor related and have thought about the Carnival card. I like the idea of saving for a cruise vs saving for something I'm not really wanting.
Not to extend this argument (well, I guess I am) :), but what would you all think would be the best "no fee" card? Is there one better than Carnival?

I tried them for the first time on my first cruise. Like others have said....mushrooms.

Bacon Mac-Cheese, nuff said
After eating lobster, shrimp, fish, frog legs, escargots, etc., etc. all week (all good BTW) the Bacon Mac-Cheese really hit the spot. Most memorable entrée of the cruise.

Our PVP asked if we were celebrating anything when we booked..."25th anniversary".
The wait staff mentioned it the first night, sang & a cupcake on our night, and another wait staff (anytime dining) tried to sing another night. So, apparently it's listed somewhere...if you tell someone.

DH opted for a burger from Guy's. They were too messy for my taste, but he enjoyed it.
That burger gives new meaning to the old commercial "Where's the beef"?
Looks amazing.

per Cabin. But you also get two Friends/Family certificates that allow others to join you on the cruise and get the same OBC if they book within 60 days.
Thanks.

Is the OBC per person or per cabin?

Wow! This thread has totally been hijacked. Lol. Now just to be clear, everybody remember to wave back to the Platinums, Diamonds, and FTTFs who are waving at you from the white, sandy shore at HMC.
Have a great time.
I have to wait until Jan. to get to wait in line to get to HMC. :(

Heck, I'll volunteer.
It's been a few years since I looked like the guys in the pic, but it will give me a good excuse to get serious in the gym again. ;)

Red cards have to row! Didn't they tell you when you booked?:D
That would be pretty cool. :D
I'm so happy I did not understand the Carnival class system on my first cruise last year. I thought the different color cards were for muster drill or something.
Some of my best times were talking to fellow cruisers while waiting in line for something. I enjoyed the relaxing and not being in a hurry...get plenty of being in a hurry in real life.
I need to market a shirt...."Future Platinum". :)

I will wave my red card and go to the back of line where I belong.
Do I have to sit in the back of the tender boat?

On the Elation last fall my wife and I gave up looking for a seat at the Adult show. We did manage to see one of the family shows.

Thanks for the answers. We don't drink so I was afraid w/ too much OBC we would be buying more pictures than needed.
There is an element of risk in carrying cash on the way to your cruise since you would be carrying enough for your entire trip. And of course no one wants to pay ATM fees in port or onboard.
The best alternative IMO is to just take the minimum amount you need to get to your cruise. Then once onboard, you can insert your Sail & Sign card in a slot machine while playing, and then take out cash against your credit card by charging your Sail & Sign in the slot machine. Carnival does not charge a fee to do this. As long as your credit card limit is sufficient to cover what you put on the Sail & Sign you should be fine. Be sure to notify your credit card company in advance of your travel that you will be traveling.
Can you choose the size of the bills??? $100...3 $20's, 4 $5's, & 20 $ 1's for example.
Thanks for the info. -
Can you use the OBC to prepay tips or excursions?
-
On our first cruise last fall, first dinner at the MDR, we had a table for 2 anytime dine. There were 2 other couples next to us chatting it up. I assumed they were together. I struck up a conversation w/ the next couple and enjoyed our dinner.
Later in the cruise I saw one of the men at the first table and spoke to him. He said he figured I didn't like something about him because I didn't speak the first night. Come to find out the 2 couples at the first table didn't know each other.
I was very embarrassed that he thought that about me. Live and learn.

If you get stealth hugged by a 10 yr old...that would be my kid.:o Last cruise I nicknamed him The Hugging Bandit because he was CONSTANTLY sneaking up on people to hug or high five them or fist bump them. At one point, I even caught him trying to climb up on the back of a bench in the Lido buffet to hug a nekkid mermaid. LOL:D
He's EXTREMELY high energy so keeping him busy is a team effort.
Sounds like he would be fun fellow cruiser.

What is the best way to see what rooms are still available?

We appreciate the review as well.

I think there are copies of the Fascination Fun Times in this review...
