Thank you. I was wondering why I had to send a message to myself. LOL!! Off to finish my transaction an come up with a witty message. :)
Thanks again.
Cheers!!!

I am trying to purchase Cheers online and it is taking me through the fun shops, which I knew it would do, but it is asking me for a gift message even though it is for me. Is that right or am I ordering from the wrong place?
Thanks for your help. :)

We made it once with FTTF. No race just casually walked down there. I thought for sure we wouldn't get there first.

You will see different opinions about this. I buy it for every cruise. I like having designated lines for check in and guest services. I like priority boarding. My Mom cruises with us sometimes and it puts us far enough ahead of the pack so she can take her time walking in instead of holding up people in the middle of the pack. Also with tender ports you have priority boarding which also helps with Mom. She is a little slower and can't stand very long and this just works for us. You also have priority debarking, which we don't take advantage of, and from what I understand you are off the ship pretty quickly. But it is worth getting it 1 time to see if you like it.

I have never heard of these. They always gave us a fridge. This has been on Disney and Carnival.
It is kind of like this one.
If I remember correctly the first time he cruised they didn't have extra fridges and told us they had this one. Now this is what we always get.

My son is Type 1 as well and also on a pump. We just get the medicine cooler from guest service when we get on board. It works great and his extra unopened vials fit perfectly in there. Before we debark we return it back to guest service. They do charge $70 but refund when you return cooler.

So sorry for your loss. If you get checked in early you can wander over to the Queen Mary and get in for free with your sail and sign card. She is a beautiful ship. Enjoy your cruise.

I was in an afternoon balcony on the Miracle deck 6 and it wasn't noisy. You could hear the ocean as the ship sailed but I didn't hear any loud noise.

Finally in the double digits. 96 days. :):D

Loved the review. I have done that cruise twice and loved it. Your review brought back so many great memories. I try to stay at the Queen Mary when we cruise, I have only cruised out of Long Beach. It is a wonderful place to stay with so much history. It is an old ship, she just turned 80, but the ambiance takes you back in time. I would try to stay there at least once. The porter will take your luggage over when you are ready to check in with Carnival. We get up early, go grab coffee and danish then sit out on the deck to watch the ship come in and the passengers disembark.
If you sign up for notifications from the QM they will let you know when they have specials. I usually can get my room for 50% off. At that price I book a suite!!
Thanks again for a wonderful review.

We get to port around 11:00 and like the others have said start boarding priority around 11:30. I don't think I have ever been on board later than noon.

Both the $500 and $100 are available now. I just purchased 3 $500 to pay off my cruise and have some spending money!!

I'm sad I have to let this room go. Mom wanted to take her friend and the interior rooms are as much as the balcony and we can't have 5 in any room. :( Back to the drawing board.
-
Thanks for you reply. Yeah I think I am going to jump on this one. I was actually going to book a standard balcony but saw this one available. I was surprised it was available this "close" to cruise date.
-
I just happened to be looking on Carnival yesterday and found 6232 was available for a November cruise. I know the balcony is much bigger than the others but is the room shape or size any different? I have it on hold until tomorrow.
As always, thanks for all your help and knowledge. You guys are the best.

I always travel with a couple of these..

This is what I use. On our last cruise I came into the room and found a long white power strip and our steward told me that we could use the Belkin so he brought in the power strip. Which was better since it had more plugs. :)

I think the way the Cheers program is now it's totally worth it. I love that you can get the specialty coffees, have drinks made with top shelf liquor and all the bottled water and vitamin water.
-
Look on Groupon or LivingSocial, sometimes they have QM (Princess Di) tickets for sale. Or you can pay for that tour separately once on the QM.
-
Check your cruise documents, they will say what you are boarding as. I don't turn gold until the last day of my cruise and on my cruise docs it says gold. I hope this helps.

I'm sure it is on here somewhere but is there a big difference in the 2 menus?

17.....I can't wait!

We were assigned this room for a guaranteed stateroom. I have never stayed in the forward section. Is there anything I should expect different than aft bacony. I'm hoping we have a breeze since we didn't have one on the aft balcony.
Any info, good, bad or indifferent is welcome.
Thank you all for being such a wonderful wealth if information and being so willing to share. You're the best!!!
