  1. Hi everyone. We just got to the Queen Mary to stay the night so we can board early for our cruise tomorrow. And then it hit me. Do I need a boarding pass for everyone that is in my stateroom or do I just need one?. I just went on a cruise in July but I was so flippin excited I don't even remember the process of getting on the ship. LOL:confused::D

  2. Reading what all of you do first is just making me so excited. We leave on Thursday and I can't wait.

On my first cruise we went to the Lido deck for lunch, went to the Serenity Deck to soak up some sun then they called for the Muster Drill. After that we went to get ready for dinner. We didn't get to hear the horn blow after the Muster since our ship was delayed since they were loading heavy equipment on the ship. We didn't leave until 8:00 P.M. So I am looking forward to hearing that this time. :)

  3. The 18 year old can do almost anything the 21 year old can do. The exceptions are serenity and drinking alcohol.

so he can sit in the casino? He won't gamble but at least just be there.

If your 18yo is still in high school, have them bring their student ID on the ship. If you accompany them to the teen club on the first night and show the valid high school ID then they will allow them to join the group :)

(I read about this here and it has also been my personal experience)

Oh he graduated in June. I think we will just do things that he c an do and still have a great time.

Thanks for your responses. :) I love this forum, everyone is so friendly and helpful.

  4. Just be forewarned, your 20 year old in NOT a teen and NOT an adult in cruiselines eyes. 18-20 is the worse possible age for young adults to cruise, no organized activities, they are left to fend for themselves. I bought my 20 year old (he was three weeks from turning 21) on the Splendor and he was bored on all sea days. He spent little time in the casino but a college student has little money to spend on gambling so he resisted temptation.

We are thinking of doing an Alaskan cruise for his college graduation but he will be 22 then and the experience will be very different.

I was wondering about this. My kids (21 &18) and I are leaving Thursday, I was wondering if my 18 year old would get bored. We love to do things together but know my oldest will want to do a couple of adult things that my youngest can't do. I will try to find things that he will enjoy. :/

  5. We went on a cruise last month and we were on the Empress deck. Right down the hall from guest services and one of the bars!! I loved that location. I am going on a cruise next week and we are on the Upper deck in the middle section. I'm sure I will be just as happy. :) Enjoy your cruise with your sis. I was just talking to mine today suggesting the same thing. :)

  6. Do they have lobster night on the Imagination 3 day cruise? I told my boys about it but then realized they might not have it. How do I find a menu of what is served each night?

I went on a cruise last month be we didn't step foot into the MDR so this time I want to eat there.

    TIA. :D
